I ordered the Cinnamon cable but received the Pearl cable in the Pearl box ( the optical connectors also say Pearl) with a little sticker on the box claiming it was Cinnamon. I can only conclude this is a poor attempt at a 3x price ripoff.

See photo.
The flimsy chord is the Audioquest.
The thicker one is the SKW, which costs a quarter of the price.
To my ears, no difference between the 2.
To my eyes, I’m having a hard time believing that something this thin does a better job at carrying a signal.
However, a little research will tell you is that all that matters is that the light (data) reaches its destination and that size is irrelevant.

Using this wonderful cable from blu ray to dac to 2 channel stereo. This cable is a good step up from the 40 dollar Monster toslink I recently purchased. It’s so good my mind is changed now thinking coax was superior soundwise when using my other blu ray player.
Bass is cleaner and tighter, mids are great ,and treble is not brittle or harsh sounding.Great job Audioquest !

I have 2 sets of these, one forest and one cinnamon and I love them both. They work much better than anything cheaper. There is a noticeable difference in quality and it definitely isn’t subjective. The forest will only work up to 96k 24bit quality sound and the cinnamon will work all the way up to 192k full hd 24bit sound. Sounds amazing!

I have a forest cable I thought was slim, this cable is even slimmer. overall better sound. used it for cd player to receiver, Yamaha RX-A6A now is receiving a very good signal, hearing background instruments more clearly. is a bit expensive side but glad I bought it

All I can say is Wow! I know there is better high end cables than the Cinnamon series and maybe cheaper. But with that said the this cable significantly improved the fidelity of my headphone and home theater sound. I went from your baseline monster toslink to the AudioQuest Cinnamon. In my personal experience I always notice a huge difference when upgrading an optical audio cable more so than coaxial or hdmi. Don’t get me wrong use the best you can afford for your level of equipment. It’s just that the little tiny thin as heck digital optical cable that either comes with equipment or is the cheap cable readily available is so bad. It’s been around since the 90’s or earlier. This is the first time I went up to the cinnamon line for my digital optical cable…usually went with the forest. I wanted the nicer braided cable this time. Well worth every penny. If I had some higher end equipment I would have gone to the vodka or diamond series but $300 headphones sound amazing as is. Sorry for the long winded review. Cheers

Audioquest is catering to the extremely wealthy customer with their Angel series (PSS) Pure Silver Surface, and the cables are amazing, silver makes the signal on fire. Angel prices range from 800 to 3000 $ and beyond..
Cinnamon series (two below angel – out of 5 total lines for audio interconnects) is a silver plated copper mixture without the DBS (dialectic Bias System, meant to remove interference), but nonetheless a great cable. Breaking it in for a couple hundred hours gives the same effect as the DBS (from what I understand).
I use cinnamon happily in any hardware that doesn’t require the best. A 400$ bluray for instance, cinnamon optical was clear and earthy, perfect for that equipment because the player is average..
Cinnamon is a great series, if more is what u want, there’s Carbon, Chocolate, etc. many choices, all available budgets. AQ is making great cables these days.

Excellent product. These Toslink cables are very skinny or small in diameter compared to RCA, XLR or other cables you have used in the past. AudioQuest is very proud of their products and you will discover that when you try to buy one of any length greatet than a meter (3 feet).
MOST IMPORTANT NOTE!! Make sure you remove the little plastic cap covers on each end of cable before inserting into the optical output jack on your preamp, amp or other source. Also the connectors are keyed so pay attention to how it plugs in. My connection points for instance have the flat part of connector facing down; yours might be different. As far as sound? My system sounds great! Is that a result of this cable? Don’t know, but I have never had an issue with AudioQuest products. Peace of mind never comes cheap!

I love that these interconnects have a sturdy connector that does not pull out of the speakers or crossover very easily. Sound quality is only as good as your equipment.

I have the forest version which is good, but this takes it to another level.
Forget cheaper cables,spend the money
