I give 5 stars just to be fair. Certainly fine balls for a baby or playing with a pet, but just lack the weight to put in flight for any distance. I was looking for more tennis-ball type weight to give some stress-free batting practice to my son. Not the seller or manufacturer’s fault.
CCpaint –
Excellent for doing batting practice with a kid just learning to not be afraid of the ball. Decent weight and density

The bright colored foam balls are great for hitting practice with our 6 year old. They are safe, being foam, and the hi-vis color helps us quickly locate the balls in our grass yard! Good buy.

We picked these up for our grandchildren to use while playing baseball in the backyard. Ages range from 3 to 7 so we needed balls that were both soft and durable. These Baisidiwei Foam Training Baseballs are perfect. The baseballs are a little lighter and softer than the tennis balls we had been using but they are solid enough to pitch and fly well. We like that they are soft enough not to cause serious damage to the players should they get hit by the ball. They have held up well so far and we recommend these for anyone needing soft baseballs to use for children.

If you are sensitive to chemical smells do not buy this. My face felt so itchy after opening the box and getting blasted by the smell from this product. I am hoping that if I air them outside for a while it won’t be so noxious.

I bought these so my 6 year old grandson could practice batting in our back yard without breaking my face:-) or a window. They worked really, he was able to smack them really hard.

Perfect for 5 yr old to practice t ball

I ordered these for my son to play with in the yard as an alternative to hard balls. We have cars in the driveway and houses nearby that don’t need broken windows! These definitely throw and catch differently than traditional baseballs because they are foam and just don’t have the weight, but they are good for practicing hitting or for beginners or just to play in the yard without property damage! I’d say they are not great for playing catch unless you are just teaching a younger child/beginner the basics of throwing and catching. Some people might say these would be ok playing in the house … and possibly if you had an open basement without low light fixtures or breakable items but I do not allow them in my house because they can still knock stuff off a shelf or a picture off a wall. They are foam but they are a harder, compressed foam, not squishy like a sponge. We also like the bright orange color because it makes them easy to spot around the yard when it’s time to pick up and go inside. Over all, these were a good purchase for us.
For reference, my son is 10y and does not play baseball for a team … just at home. He only started showing a real interest a few months ago and, while he picks things up quickly, he is still very much a beginner who has no formal training. Someone who plays baseball already may feel differently about these, because really only the shape and size is like a baseball. The weight and reaction is not the same.
