Easily meets my expectations. I had doubts. But 2months in, this baby is still blazing along. It’s compact. And quiet. Fairly easy to set up. I was unsure of the HDMI connection. They worked fine. I had to fiddle with settings some. But once set it’s fantastic. Lots of storage. Great buy.

I used this to replace an HTPC which was running a Pentium chip. I was not expecting stellar performance from it, but I must say I am very impressed. It starts quickly (~20-30 seconds to full readiness), and runs smoothly on Windows 11. As I am not expecting to fill it with too many other apps, I presume that the speed will not be greatly degraded over time. It loads and plays videos very quickly and smoothly, far faster than my previous machine.

I paired it with an external 2T SSD (Crucial X6: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2TB-Portable-SSD-CT2000X6SSD9/dp/B08FSNKNSV/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3LAMMHVS0H8P3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.AvrL1YPiFe7d8bQrtCsg5cEVX3bn6gVUK1st8ese_phfmo6mwxjqUoTo47bAAtWlzSg8xGoufUueiqJYXAtPDB9wG-9jKQiSBxRlsdLCfWiXPQACxFWInOOlm3gDxEyZJ0TCGRMQVOoDdjSHm5wKi3pHQ3dbtlNT_9J36bsz3-bcgbZfXcN6Ek12z6r-TiAWOehsiNhf1hXqQ1VdENExAf3EyZCsfvfJSvXCJ8c_9Gg.D4V-GftDUrdDlOLQl5-UfNEg0sgfRNJCzl_jK8I28uQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=external%2Bssd%2B2tb&qid=1708271464&sprefix=external%2Bssd%2Caps%2C156&sr=8-5&th=1), which runs quickly and without errors.

Testing YouTube at resolutions from 1080-4k, I did find it dropped frames at at rate of 1-2%, but it is barely noticeable, and shouldn’t detract too much from watching.

If you need to free up desk real-estate, and don’t need to play any demanding games or process video, this should do nicely, and at a very good price.

I had low expectations for this tiny PC, my main goal was to record music from e-drums and some video editing.
This is exactly what I needed! Fast performance, silent, reliable and so small. Watching Netflix or youtube in 4K also is not a problem and everything looks good.
Thinking of buying another one for my living room TV.

To be clear, this review is 1 star simply because one of the units I received had a SATA SSD instead of the NVMe SSD that the other three have, otherwise I’m super happy with the machines and they’re easily 5 stars.

The product description specifically states it has a m.2 NVMe SSD, not a b+m key SATA SSD (brand name FORESEE, never heard of it). So including a SATA SSD instead feels like false product info. I don’t know what happened, maybe this is a one-off manufacturing mistake or something, but this has shown me that the units may not be consistent with each other.

Sure, most people probably wouldn’t have noticed, but I’m setting it up as a server, not a Windows desktop machine, and I needed the NVMe SSD for it. I had an extra NVMe card that I swapped in, but I have a useless spare SSD now. This needs to be addressed, this is poor product delivery.

As for the product itself, it’s great. Like I said, otherwise 5 stars. I’m running a 3 node Proxmox cluster and the fourth machine is running Blue Iris and they’re all running like champs. Plex transcoding is seamless. It only has one network interface, but I just added USB3 Gigabit adapters to do the cluster / migration traffic over and it works wonderfully.

Right off the bat: I’ll tell you that I purchased this specifically with KODI in mind.
Why: I wanted to see if I could replace my current home built HTPC system, as that older system would not migrate to Win11 (and Win10 ends support in 2025). By the time I priced MB, CPU, Mem, etc for a system build that could run Win11 the total price easy rose over $300+… and honestly that didn’t seem to make sense to me.
But this system, the Beelink Mini S12 Pro, hit the mark with features and price. (Paid US$ 159 using the $40 off coupon).
If you did a search for KODI in the reviews, let me say it runs it flawlessly.
I have this box (N100/16GB /500GB) set up as pass-through in Kodi — hooked up to an Onkyo AVR (TX-NR676) — connected to a Hisense A7 85″ TV. I have an HP IR receiver (shown in picture next to the S12 Pro) and I still use a Harmony 900 to control KODI (as my devices are behind a wall, and not exposed). My source videos are on a NAS (not on this box).
Running 4K on this little box exceeded my expectations.
Is it the solution for all the world ills? No. Likely gamers would not want to use this ,as at its core is a mobile processor (the Intel N100). But for me, that is a plus as it dramatically reduces the power consumption while getting me a system that is Win11 capable.
The only negative that I can think of is that the system will not power up via an IR signal. But that is the same for most computers… so I won’t ding that a star from my review. (HOWEVER, if Beelink were to add an IR Receiver into this box that could power up the system, they would rule the HTPC-in-one-box market.)
A very good system at a fair price.

I was thoroughly impressed with this mini PC. Unboxing and initiating was a breeze. No issues at all. I was able to attach and additional SSD and test without a hiccup. Browsing, gaming all went very smoothly once I got it installed correctly. Fortunately or Unfortunately, I was so happy with this PC that I have decided to move forward with an upgrade to a more expensive mini pc from Beelink. For those on the fence about a mini PC, I would suggest to dive in.
