Beelink SER7 Mini PC, Ryzen 7, 32GB, 1TB SSD Description

The Beelink SER7 Mini PC is a compact yet powerful computing solution that brings the performance of a high-end desktop into the palm of your hand. With its AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, this mini computer is designed to handle demanding tasks with ease, making it a perfect choice for both gamers and professionals alike.

Powerful AMD Ryzen 7 Processor

At the heart of the Beelink SER7 Mini PC is the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor. Built on Zen 4 architecture and etched in 4nm technology, this high-performance processor boasts 8 cores and 16 threads, with a clock speed ranging from 3.8GHz to an impressive 5.1GHz. Beelink’s MSP technology allows the TDP to be adjusted from a default 54W balance mode to a 65W performance mode, unleashing the full potential of the processor for ultimate processing power.

Expandable Memory and Storage

The Beelink SER7 comes equipped with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD, providing ample memory and storage for most users. However, for those who need more, the mini PC includes two SODIMM DDR5 5600MHz slots that support up to 64GB of RAM and dual M.2 2280 slots for PCIe4.0 NVMe SSDs up to 4TB. Additionally, the storage drive slot on the bottom of the machine can be replaced with a 2.5” 7mm SATA slot for further customization.

Support for 4K Quad Display Output

Whether you’re a gamer or a professional working with multiple applications, the Beelink SER7 Mini PC has you covered with its integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics. Based on RDNA3 architecture, this GPU features 12 core counts and a 2700MHz frequency, making it capable of running mainstream games and handling graphic-intensive tasks. The mini PC supports four 4K video outputs, including HDMI2.1, Displayport 1.4, and dual full-functional USB4 ports, allowing you to connect up to four screens simultaneously for increased productivity.

Improved Heat Dissipation

Heat management is a critical aspect of any high-performance computer, and the Beelink SER7 excels in this area. The upgraded heat dissipation system includes a vapor chamber and cooling fan to quickly distribute heat and protect the CPU from overheating. Additionally, a system fan and heat sink effectively reduce the temperature of the DDR and SSD. While the cooling fans are not completely silent, they are not harsh, ensuring a balanced performance.

Advanced Wireless Network Connectivity

Stay connected with the Beelink SER7 Mini PC’s advanced wireless features. It includes 2.4 Gbps WiFi 6 (802.11ax), which is nearly three times faster than WiFi 5, and a RJ45 Ethernet port with 2.5Gbps transmission speed, allowing for faster data transfer and large file transmission. The Bluetooth 5.2 wireless adapter ensures seamless connectivity with your Bluetooth devices, helping to keep your workspace tidy and organized.

I was hesitant to try this but needed a new computer that could go with me anywhere.

Super easy to setup … quiet … fast … and enough memory and speed to handle all my needs.

Bought and initially loves the pc everything about it was great but it has wifi and Bluetooth issues. I could not remedy it even with a wifi adapter and read on forums this model has had issues with that reported by others or so they say. Returning and trying another unit hoping for the best but just a word to consider.

I have not done very much yet, but the box seems to perform very well. It booted into Windows 11 which was a nice surprise. Now the challenge of moving everything over from my old PC.

I managed to get this for just a smidge more than a PS5/XSX and got it with the intention of using it on my TV, like a console for PC games. I am really happy with its performance! I don’t know much about optimizing PC games yet so it’s nice to have something that works out of the box with no funky customization. My one concern is that it does seem to enjoy static discharge — though that could be from my entire AV setup, because it’s huge— but I anxiously ground myself before touching it. I love how quiet this is— literally more quiet than Android box “super consoles” that are much less powerful. Really solid feeling build and haven’t run into a single QC problem in the first two months of using it— would definitely buy another Beelink when needed; so amazing this is so much cheaper than a basic productivity laptop!

I love this little thing. However any little bump unplugs the stupid magnetic power supply. Don’t buy it unless you plan on buying a USB power supply, or have somewhere you can put it where it won’t get bumped.

I’ve been following Beelink for about 4-5 years now and watched as their Mini PCs have really gotten better and better over that time. This SER7 is their smaller Ryzen based high end model (along with the larger GTR series which is their flagship mini PC). The SER line offers the same performance as the GTR models, but in a smaller form factor, but without sacrificing high performance and good cooling. This mini PC is packed with ports, you get 2x full featured USB4 ports (both support 40Gbps data speeds and DisplayPort Alt mode and Power Delivery 3.0 power in as a alternative to the magnetic power adapter). There’s also a full size DP1.4 and HDMI 2.1 on the back of the device. Then you get a single USB A 3.2 gen 2 and a USB C 3.2 gen 2 on the front (with another two USB A 2.0 ports on the back).

The AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS mobile processor is with 8 cores/16 threads and a 54 watt TDP by default, although they advertise that you can increase it to 65 watts in the BIOS. I did do this, but it only results in a 4-5% increase in performance, because you’re already getting most of the available performance out of the box. This processor is one of the most powerful chips on the market in terms of integrated graphics, it’s basically offering the best performance you can get right now in a mini PC. You can get higher single core (CPU) performance from some Intel 13th gen i9 mini PCs, but the GPU performance will be much lower
    than what you get here.

This is using the Zen 4 architecture and RDNA 3 architectures respectively, and it does offer a fairly significant bump over chips like the Ryzen 7 6800H which is using the older RDNA 2 680M GPU. I was really impressed with what games could be played on the 7840HS’s 780M integrated graphics- you can legitimately play demanding PC games at 1080p between 40-60fps, if you utilize FSR upscaling, then you can get even higher frame rates. You will have to play at low or medium settings but you will still get a great experience and most modern games look good on lower graphical settings compared to 5-10 years ago. This device offers a great entry point for people curious about PC gaming who aren’t sure if they want to build an expensive desktop computer which requires a lot more research and financial investment to get started. I love that AMD has made PC gaming affordable. You just couldn’t play the newest AAA PC games on integrated graphics before Ryzen mobile processors, because they have slowly gotten better and better and caused Intel to increase their performance as well since Ice Lake and Tiger Lake chips.

Keep in mind that gaming in 1440p or 4k is probably off the table for most games. This processor is intended for 720p-1080p gaming with low-medium settings. You can use something like FSR Ultra Performance upscaling if you wanted to, I was able to play Banishers Ghosts of New Eden at my ultrawide monitor’s native resolution of 3840×1600 at low settings and I got about 40-45 frames per second, but it honestly did not look very good because of how low the internal render resolution was. But that’s the coolest part about PC games, they give you the ability to customize so many things, you can choose to use your PC in strange ways to (technically) play at much higher resolution that what is intended.

The Ryzen 7 CPU inside this mini PC is powerful enough for any kind of professional work you might be interested in too- video editing, 3D rendering, compiling code, CAD, video transcoding, etc. They include 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz (Crucial brand) and a Crucial P3 Gen 4 NVMe drive with 1TB of storage. There is a second NVMe slot to add another NVMe drive (this one also supports PCIe 4.0 x4 speed), and the RAM is SODIMM, so that could be upgraded to 64GB total if you have the need. The whole enclosure is very well made, with an aluminum alloy outer shell and a high quality copper cooling assembly with a large fan and a vapor chamber. The build quality of this feels like something that could rival Apple’s engineering skills in a few more generations of this design. They even have a secondary fan on the underside of the main board, this fan is built into the NVMe’s heatsink and it keeps the DDR5 and Gen 4 NVMe cool. Both of the two fans are surprisingly quiet, even while gaming and pushing the processor fully, it still stays very quiet and doesn’t have a high-pitched sound like some smaller fans. I expected it to be way louder than it actually is.

If you need a small desktop with enough power to do intensive computing tasks, this is an awesome option from Beelink that offers enough performance that it can be recommended for PC gaming, as long as you understand that there will still be some limitations that I mentioned above. You can hide it behind a TV or monitor if you want a really clean desk layout or you can pack it in a bag and take it anywhere with a portable monitor, assuming you will have access to a wall outlet.

UPDATE: I discovered the device will not activate a microphone. This is apparently a common problem. No consumer has found a solution. I have been working with the company’s support team for over a week and am becoming very frustrated. It is always a different person and they never review the thread. I would give support an F grade. I have purchased additional items they ask me to use and none of it works. My other comments still apply, but if you need a mic, this likely will not work for you. That is sad

I do programming and I wanted a mini-pc to replace a larger PC. I tried another brand ( 2 units ) and had nothing but problems. It was full of OS errors that could not be resolved. So I moved to this one.

I installed a second 1 TB drive. It is very fast, incredibly quiet, and has not had any issues. I run Microsoft Visual Studio, editing tools, documentation tools, and a lot more. Everything has worked quickly and absolutely no glitches ( ie. lockups, errors, slowdowns, overheating, etc ).

I use a Mac mini ( M2 ) and Apple 27″ Studio display. This unit sits next to it, and I interface with it using Remote Desktop. This gives me great resolution, and a single keyboard / mouse to work both machines. ( also have an AceMagician used as a data server, connected in the same way ).

I realize these are promoted as gaming machines. I don’t play games so I won’t speak to that. However, for a computer to use for business applications, or around the home, this is a very good solution. I’m thankful that it works well because it sure occupies very little space.
