I trust the Belkin name implicitly to offer quality products that stand the test of time. I’ve used Belkin for about 30 years, and their products have never failed to protect my electronics. I have other more expensive Belkin models, but this one is sufficient for its purpose.
IMPORTANT NOTE: CNET, a trustworthy website, recommends Belkin highly. According to the CNET website one should always have more available plugs than necessary for the number of electronics plugged into the protector. (I didn’t know that.)
If you need extra peace of mind, Belkin also offers a warranty for coverage of up to $300K of electronics on various models. (A little research on http://www.belkin.com/us/ will tell you which models provide that feature.)
We all spend a great deal of money on our electronics, so guaranteed protection is worth the few extra dollars for Belkin.

I bought these to replace identical older units. They’re built like a tank and the LED’s for Ground and Protected are a requirement in my book along with the 15 foot cord. That’s why I bought them again.

I was needing a surge protector to protect my work from home laptop and monitor. Found this Belkin and it has all of the outlets and joules that I will be needing since I would be using to many plug ins. As an added bonus this surge protector is substantial in weight as it is metal which is hard to find anymore. Lifetime Warranty – Be sure to fill in the product registration and return to Belkin for the Surgemaster Power Protection. This is one of the reasons that I purchased Belkin, is that they do stand behind their products w/ this true warranty.

The unit looks ok. However, the back is PLASTIC, not metal. Only the top and sides are metal. Nothing on the Amazon listing or the Belkin box states this. This is very mis-leading, inaccurate and potentially dangerous if one needs a fire-resistant unit. It’s going back.
