J’ai testé pour charger des PC et dès MacBook. Et ça marche très bien. Le câble est bien fini, le matériau de bonne qualité et le temps ne semble pas l’user.
Ne cherchez pas les modèles low-cost, préférez les grandes marques comme investissement

I don’t have any thunderbolt 3 / usb-4 devices to test it, but it works like a charm with my 27in 4k samsung monitor that has power delivery.

L’ho comprato per collegare un MacBook Pro 14″ ad un monitor 4K@144Hz con USB-C, che con un solo cavo permette la ricarica a 65W, passaggio dati e video. Dopo varie ricerche per capire le caratteristiche necessarie affinché tutto funzioni sono arrivato alla conclusione di prendere un cavo USB-4 con 40Gbps per andare sul sicuro.
Una volta collegato ho dovuto disattivare dall’OSD del monitor la USB 3.0 in modo da ottenere il 4k@144hz, portando però il passaggio dei dati a velocità 2.0. Questo è necessario perché la banda non è sufficiente per portare entrambe le cose. Inoltre bisogna scendere a 4K@60Hz per poter utilizzare l’HDR. Il protocollo DDCI per il controllo del monitor funziona.
Per quanto riguarda il “problema” dello scaling di MacOS, ho provato le varie opzioni e onestamente non noto differenza tra nativa (1080p o 3840p) e la 1440p, quindi uso quest’ultima senza problemi per avere una dimensione della UI che dia spazio e allo stesso tempo sia leggibile senza fare fatica.
Provato anche con un PC Dell di qualche anno fa che ha una porta Thunderbolt che però supporta solo DisplayPort 1.2 invece di 1.4, quindi è limitato a 4K@60Hz, comunque ok il resto.
In conclusione il cavo rispetta le aspettative, il MacBook si ricarica, il monitor raggiunge risoluzione e refresh rate massimo e l’hub USB nel retro del monitor funziona.

Bought this in March of 2023 , cable has been amazing for all my daily uses. After six months it no longer worked. Cord is thick but with traveling and cord being packed and unpacked consistently I assume insides don’t hold well.

best cable for the price that I’ve found. The connectors hold up a long time and the braided sheathing stays in the ends like it’s supposed to. A little stiff but not too much.
