I recently had to pickup a new surge protector, though honestly I should get a few new sets – remember folk: surge protection degrades over time. What was once a perfectly good surge protector at some point will provide no protection anymore: so if you live in an area where you are concerned about surges (or attach sensitive equipment to it), I recommend replacing every few years.
Above and beyond that: Belkin is the standard I expect from surge protectors. I’ve never had any issues with them, and they’ve performed admirably, giving plenty of ports that are well spaced out. So too does this protector offer it: too often plugs are crowded onto a small protector, which is fine until you start dealing with plugs that have some serious wall wart issue.

Bought some of these to refresh some aged power strips. These work great and have plenty of cord length. I know it may look a little bulky in the images but it actually has a fairly low profile. The extra USB spots are great for lower powered items like LED lamps / lights that you dont want to waste a power slot for. They also charge items decently but in my experience do not support fast-charging. If you are concerned about dedicated fast charging with USB, you should look into a dedicated strip meant for that instead.

I bought this as an upgrade to what I was using for my television, cable box/ router, speaker, land line, security camera and rechargeable flashlight. Beyond the protection is affords I was hoping to use the USB ports rather than USB/AC convertors for a couple of the devices.
After connecting everything I heard a buzzing, or cricket, sound. Very noticeable. After some research I unplugged the 2 USB devices and the sound stopped. I went back to the convertors. A little disappointing.
It shouldn’t make any sound. I’m going to keep using it because it’s such a pain to redo everything and hope the replacement works.
I’ll echo the comments about the On/Off switch seeming cheap with a lot of play in it. I just wonder if this is by design to prevent it from being accidentally shut off?
This being said I’d still buy another Belkin product.

Swapped out my old, overstuffed power strip with this, and I am very happy with it. I particularly like the mix of closely spaced outlets for regular plugs plus some widely-spaced outlets to the side for my bulky and awkward plugs. Feels like good quality, no issues so far. I wouldn’t travel with it because of it’s size, but it’s great for a desk setup. It fits in a large under-desk clamp-on mesh box for power strips with room on the sides and ends for bulky plugs to overhang.

So nice to be able to plug in all my home theater stuff in one space. Before I had some big blocky plugs blocking up two or more plugs on a power bar. This one accommodates everything! The USB ports are a bonus for powering the Chromecast, and for charging a device. Well designed, sturdy, Suits my needs perfectly.

The outlet is great and so much room for my many chargers. However, the item is bigger and heavier than I expected. But it does its job so I’m not complaining. I’ll comeback a few months later for a quality check.
