Dave from Cary –
Once I sighted this in it is awesome. I use both the .177 and .22 version of this weapon as a tool for pest control on a small ranch. Early in the season I use the .177 ammo which has a decent range 300′ and FPS (1250 if memory serves), later in the season once the critters fatten up I use the .22 version which provides just a little less range and FPS (1000 if memory serves) but packs a wallop.
My one complaint is that I find loading the weapon persnickety with either lead or copper ammo, rounded or flat. Super pointy ammo is pretty easy to load but less effective on taking down the varmints. So many times I try to reload quickly with non-pointy ammo only to be unable to seat the pellet into the barrel smoothly and quickly.
Lastly, while it’s not my “thing” the weapon does look badass I get tons of comments about it and have to explain to folks that it’s just a pellet gun.

I read other buyer reviews regarding the power, recoil and loudness of this rifle, but went with it. I bought and mounted a different scope and am having trouble hitting a target less than 100 yards away with the scope magnification, laser or digital sites. I went through all the usual calibration steps but doesn’t seem accurate at 100 yards. 50 yard distances are fine.
The scope weights 2.2 lbs on its own, and the gun around 10 lbs, but not particularly heavy considering that the GAMO I have is also heavy.
The rifle isn’t as loud as everyone indicated. My other GAMO break barrel rifle fires at 1650 fps and is LOUD. This is only 1050 fps but much easier to break the barrel to load. Sounds nothing like a .22 calibre.
There is practically no recoil, so not sure why buyer reviews mentioned a strong recoil.
The bipod legs are quite handy and easy to mount, but not as sturdy as one might expect for a gun of this weight. They still work fine.
The gun for me, at this point, looks great but isn’t performing as expected.

I love it! Right on target every time, more powerful than I thought it would be.

My rifle came in & it looked used so I contacted to ask if it was. I was told it was new & that I would be sent new picatinny rails since these were scratched & chipped. It’s nice looking rifle & it’s very powerful, so power & so oiled after 50 shots it knocked the main M6 1.0 45mm bolt out that’s located in the pistol grip which holds the barrel to the stock (which I didn’t learn until much later). I contacted Amazon & was told to contact the seller. I was advised to get a new M6 1.0 45mm bolt since the bolts threads got stripped. I found it prudent to go over the rifle for my safety. I cleaned all the bolts from oil & added a drop of blue Loctite to each. I then found another bend & stripped bolt M4 .7 14mm that holds down the top plastic cover under the picatinny rail, I then found two spots inside of the stock that were cracked. I had to buy JB Weld to fix that. After requesting a partial refund for the stuff I had to buy I was offered a return but my sales tax & shipping would not be returned. I was also told I would void my warranty if I take the bolts out & clean them. With the power this rifle has all bolts should be de-greased & Loctite applied. I hope Amazon A to Z claim is going to help as I’m now out close to $40 fixing a rifle I’m now requested to send back in better & safer condition then when I received it.

You need to get used to the harder trigger pull but once you’ve mastered that it becomes very easy to get used to.

This sniper rifle looks very real. Real enough you could fool anyone that you had a sniper rifle. Thing is, it shoots single pellets lol! I’d recommend it for someone looking to practice single shot targets. Loading it is a little awkward as it has a break barrel design. Loading 1 pellet at a time.
It’s a very good rifle none the less. Just don’t plan on going all call of duty on someone hahaha!

Easy to set up and use. Scope takes some tweaking to adjust accuracy. Will upgrade to a Better scope later.
Had issues with this brand of .177 calibur pellets. (Crosman LPPH77 .177-Caliber Piranha Premier Pellets (400-Count)). The tin of pellets I received are too big and oversized for this rifle. Verified they are .177 cal. by using them in an older Crossman Pellet rifle and they work fine. Just seems to be this airgun model. Went to Walmart and bought a similar Daisy brand pellet and they work just fine. Will not be returning the pellets or the air rifle.. Overall The Rifle is better than I expected. Great purchase for me. Thanks JH
