These things last forever. Our family has had one for years and I bought this one for my mom. She loves it. It toasts evenly, it’s simple to use, but clean in design. It’s a toaster. And it’s deceptively harder to find a good toaster than you would think. Sure, you could spend $200 at Williams Sonoma, but why? And you could spend $15 at Walmart, but you’re going to get a tic-tac-toe pattern and a cheap, could break anytime toaster. This one is perfect.

The first time I used this toaster, it smelled like burnt plastic. I didn’t see anything burning but was really concerned it would do that any time I used it, hence contaminating my air and, possibly, the toast. However, it stopped doing that after one or two uses. However, I am not happy with its performance as a toaster. First, I have to re-toast the bread 2x, sometimes 3, before it is adequately toasted. This is starting with frozen bread, as I always freeze my bread. Still, when you put it all the way up, you’d think it would toast the bread a little bit in all that time. However, it doesn’t, so it takes quite a while on repeat. It also has a very short cord, making it difficult to move out from under the cabinets. Since a LOT of heat comes out the top, I am concerned about all that heat hitting the underside of the cabinets and warping or drying them out or whatever. I don’t think it is a fire hazard but I would be much happier if the cord were long enough to pull the toaster all the way out. My final complaint is that, although it has nice wide slots for big bread, it is not really quite deep enough for big pieces so, if you are trying to toast something other than a small, square loaf, some will stick out the top and not get toasted. Overall, I am not very satisfied with this toaster. Luckily, I only bought it to tide me over until I found a sale on a good toaster over, which I have now acquired, so I don’t have to use this dumb thing anymore.
Summary: If you want a toaster on the cheap, this is good enough. Just be aware you may be waiting a while for your toast!

Bought this for my mom in March, I should have known it was to cheap.
Bought in March, stopped working in June, 4 months of use before it stopped working. Unacceptable, its my own fault for buying cheaply made garbage.

I bought this toaster based on user reviews and price. So many things to say about it! I don’t know where to start, so please excuse me if things get long. From the get-go it has made perfectly wonderful toast with all kinds of bread, thick, thin you name it. Consistent, evenly browned with the dial slightly right of center, maybe at the 12:15 position, maybe closer to 12:30, but certainly not at 12:45! And the toast is warm. Win!
I purchased this to replace a Cuisinart 2-slice unit we had for a couple of years. It still worked really well, and like this one, it has a removable crumb tray. Good/bad, but I really don’t like to wake up bleary from the night before and think about stuff like that. And I certainly don’t in the evening when I’m craving a snack. At the low price of around $26.83 (including tax), I can just order another one and throw this one away and not have to worry about crumbs or cleaning!
It has a slightly shorter power cord than our last unit, and is much lighter, since it’s body is made from plastic instead of stainless steel. Maybe a slight drawback in a self-defense scenario, since swinging it around with a shorter cord and less weight won’t have as much impact, and may actually shatter. Important to know, so I stored it near the blender, which has a much heavier base and longer cord, just in case. Preparation and planning are everything! This is not a deal breaker. I’ll report back on the shatter when I buy another toaster………
Suggestions for product development: 1. Maybe Bluetooth/WiFi compatible, so you can see the cycle progress and listen to your playlist or a movie. 2. Additional colors, like Pink, White w/Stripes, Pearl (if you like Jam) Deep Purple or Cream. 3. Solar powered to offset the carbon footprint from the toasting cycle.
Anyway, go buy this toaster! It’s an awesome product and inexpensive. And it makes toast!

I’ve had the toaster for over a month now, and use it at least 5 times a week. Making king-size english muffins, lightly toasting a hard roll for my hamburger or making well-done multigrain toast for an open turkey sandwich…this toaster is just terrific.
I just put in the bread, turn the dial to the toast level I have already established as ‘perfect’ for that item, push down the front lever and that’s it. It comes out evenly toasted every time, and in the event I want to pop the bread a bit earlier, I just tap the ‘CANCEL’ button in front. Old-fashioned, low-tech…its a toaster!
The plastic shell is very strong and light…and, keeps me from getting burned. When done, I turn it upside down over the trash can, then get any leftover crumbs via the crumb tray underneath.
The 1930’s design is very Art Deco, and adds a bit of pizzazz to the kitchen appliance shelf. Not sure how much more you can ask for from something that looks this good, works so well and is so reasonably priced.

Toast comes out good. Like button for bagels. Slots good size. Looks nice. Settings work well. Overall good buy. Would buy again or suggest for others.

This is my three month review. I’ve used much more expensive toasters for most of the last 20 years and other than having 4 slots as compared to 2 this very affordable toaster does so much better at producing consistent results. Both toast and bagels come out perfectly for my tastes at setting 3 and my other half gets perfect results at 4. When cooking subsequent batches the results are still consistent and the toaster doesn’t get too hot on the outside to handle. Cleaning is easy with an easy to access tray on the bottom.
You can’t go wrong with this toaster.

I like the toaster for the money, but it does toast light. In other words, you have to turn it almost all the way up to get an even medium toast.
