The other reviews aren’t joking about the tough to turn dial. Moving it to keep the oven constantly on is tough even with dry hands, all the other functions are easy however. The fan is loud out of the box too as others have noted. Looks nice and is large so I can’t complain for the price.

It’s a good oven that can put 4 slice of toast. You can put 6 slice but will be a little bit tight. The instruction is very easy to understand, and the oven heat very quickly. This is my 3rd oven with Black + Decker. I’m satisfied with this brand’s oven. I also have this brand of rice cooker, it works well. I would recommend this oven to others! It’s worth the price and durable!

A lot of good things about it, but toaster doesn’t work well at all. Bread gets hard n crisp, but no browning at all until so hard that you can’t eat it. Yep my settings rechecked and accurate. It has no indication to show or sound, that oven has reached set temp. A bit annoying, but otherwise a good and very roomy toaster oven.

This product works on a 110V AC source . Amazon is supplying it with a local step down transformer from 230V to 110V to make it suitable for Indian conditions . The transformer supplied is not working . I made a complaint to Black & Decker who sent a technician and he rectified the transformer on his second visit . Within the first use , the main MCB tripped indicating overload or short circuit in the transformer . Black & Decker refuses to service / replace the transformer saying itโs not their product . Itโs just been a month since delivery and issue isnโt getting resolved . Will Amazon come forward to sort out the mess ?

I live that this takes up little counter space and does a great job. Itโs very simple to use and cooks evenly. It is also very easy to clean.

In the summer it is barely possible to keep our house cool in the best conditions and if we use the oven, the rest of the day it will be hot. This is a great option for cooking pizzas, cakes or casseroles and keeping the heat out in the garage! Easily fits 13×9 glass pans and all freezer pizzas. Should have bought it years ago

We used the same toaster oven for the first 7 years of our marriage. My husband complained time and time again about how ugly it was getting and that we needed to upgrade. Well, I did that for Father’s Day! Now, we use our toaster ovens a lot. Literally on a daily basis. We use it for all of the regular things that you would expect like toast, bagels, frozen prepared meals, pizza, etc. We actually don’t have a microwave so we use it to warm up all of our food as well! So it is used for almost every meal of the day.
I LOVE the size of this toaster oven and it is just pretty! It is so much more usable than our previous oven and it doesn’t take up too much room on our countertop. I have successfully cooked things that I would have only cooked in our larger standard sized ovens previously like casseroles, bread, cookies, etc. It performed just as well as the larger oven. It’s also nice not to have to heat up the entire house when I want to cook something. I do have to say that it cooks things more evenly than our previous toaster oven as well.
I was specifically looking for a toaster oven with knobs versus a digital display. How many times have I had products with those fancy digital displays break?! Technology is great, but sometimes I just like to go back to the basics and I mean that in a good way. The knobs are easy to manoeuvre, but I did have a slight challenge making toast the first time. I couldn’t quite figure it out. I’m sure that if I would have read the directions better that would have helped though. ๐
Now…drumroll, please…the reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars? The buzzer! That sucker is LOUD. That’s great when I want to be notified so that I can remove items from the oven, but when my kids are asleep, I have a migraine, etc then I would love the option to turn it off or lower the volume. That’s definitely not a make or break detail and I would still purchase this toaster oven again. Especially for the great price!

I’ve had this toaster oven for about a month now and, after doing some scavenger hunting on the internet for instructions and a little trial and error, I think it’s going to pretty much replace my regular gas oven.
Let me save you a little frustration as to the lack of instructions, especially pertaining to the convection feature. If you select the “Bake” setting, the convection feature is activated. There is no way to turn it off, which is actually fine.
What I have discovered is, if I’m baking baked goods (cookies, muffins, etc) you need to decrease the baking temperature by 25 degrees or reduce the baking time by about 25 %, or both. If you reduce the temp, start checking for doneness about 3/4 of the way through the baking process.
If I’m baking a casserole, which contains more liquids or the like(‘cream of’ soups, eggs, cheese, etc) I use the recommended temperature in the recipe and let it cook the full amount of time. I made a tuna noodle casserole last week and it was perfect using the recipe exactly as written.
I haven’t used the broil feature for meat yet, so I don’t have a point of reference for that feature and, as I’m single and just make toast in a regular 2 slice toaster, I also don’t have a review for the toast feature (I don’t need 8 slices of toast at once.)
What I LOVE about this oven is being able to use my regular pans! I had a smaller toaster oven before and got frustrated by having to buy special pans for it. I ended up buying a lot of disposable aluminum pans. With this oven, I can use all of my regular pans (I have several Pampered Chef ones that I wasn’t able to use in the old toaster oven) except for a couple of my larger baking stones. So far, everything has baked so much more evenly than in my full sized gas oven that I’m absolutely thrilled.
So, as far as the way the oven functions and the results I’ve had when cooking with it, I am very satisfied with this oven. The only negative comment that I have about it is that the instructions are almost non-existent. An individual shouldn’t have to do 2 hours of research online and watch youtube videos to learn how to properly use this product. They really need to include an actual instruction manual, with a few recipes included for each feature of the oven, instead of a big sheet of pitiful basic instructions that are written in about a dozen different languages. I think that most of the negative reviews that I’ve seen could have been avoided if this were the case. Does the outside of the oven get hot? Yes, it’s a toaster oven, not an insulated range, so move it away from the wall. The crumb tray slides into the slots underneath the OUTSIDE of the oven, it doesn’t go inside and I believe this is the reason that so many people are saying it never gets hot enough. The convection feature comes on and stays on when baking, there’s no way to shut it off. All of this could should be explained in an actual instruction manual.
My last comment pertains to the price. At $67 in November, this oven was a great value. Less than a month later, it’s $96!!!! Had it been this price originally, I’m not sure I would have purchased it.
So, my review is A for the the oven itself, D for the lack of instructions and the $30 price hike just before Christmas.

This accommodates a wide pan for a cake. It bakes wonderfully. The outside does get hot, so be careful. Also the temperature adjustment know is not exact, i.e. not digital, but close enough. The oven does a great job.

This toaster toasts very quickly! I typically freeze my bread products because I don’t go through them quick enough to not waste them occasionally. I used to have to microwave a bit first before I could toast the frozen products, but this toaster works well enough that it can toast them from frozen to cooked within a very reasonable amount of time. I usually pop them on the tray that comes with the toaster to account for any moisture that might drip during thawing at first. The only thing I would say is a “negative” (which is more just a surprise than an actual issue) is how large and in charge this toaster is. Apparently, I am unable to visualize sizes without the use of a measuring tape, because I was very surprised when I set it up and it took up a good portion of the counter. This is more user error than anything though since I could have just used my eyes and hands to measure before ordering. It’s cool though, we are living the toasted bagel dream out here now
