B&D product. I’ve had the previous one for 10+ years and expect this one to last as long or longer.

The torque on this device is insufficient. I have tried it on half a dozen different wooden surfaces, and the best it could do was to put the screw three quarters in. In most cases it stops at half way mark. So practically, this is useless to me. I end up using the drill every time.

Easy to use and love the light.

Powered by standard AA batteries means I can change the batteries easily when they die. This is important for people who don’t use electric screwdrivers often (less than 10 times a year, like me) and worried about the rechargeable battery dying due to ageing. Recommend this electric screwdriver for people who open/close electronic device cases (like PC cases) but shouldn’t be used on woodworks, such as assembling IKEA furniture.

Put it to work right away installing magnetic closers on vintage hardwood cupboards in my rental apartment. Plenty of power even from the included no name batteries. Great for most jobs around the house. Went for alkaline battery power as I don’t have a regular use for the driver and have had bad experiences with rechargeable devices that are bricked if not recharged regularly. Would have been nice to include a Robertson bit (for Canada anyway).

This screwdriver is not ment for high torque applications. With that being said it is very handy for reptative assembly or installation work. I work in the maintenance industry and have had an older version of this tool for 15 years before it wore out from daily use. I was excited to see I could get a new one! If you have to install multiple lock sets or working with long screws, your wrist and hands will thank you at the end of the day. The fact that it takes AA batteries is a bonus for me. If you are careful with how the tool is stored to minimize accidental triggering of power switch, they last for a long time.

This thing doesn’t over-torque so you have less risk of stripping things. It is like a home improvement artist designed this thing. It has the best overall fee and utility of any tool I own. It is perfection.
When you let off the power button, it functions like a normal screw driver and you can hand tighten things without changing any other settings.
The bottom line is if you are a novice at home improvement or want something that won’t destroy what you are working on, this is good.
No stupid built in rechargeable batteries either. So if it dies I can change the batteries in 2 min vs charging it. Just get enloop rechargeable batteries if you want to be a true environmentalist.
It uses standard drill bits. So say you are putting together furniture with allen wrench type screws. Just go to the hardware store and buy allen wrench drill bits and you are good to go.
I have a ton of tools, including a lot of screw guns that are much more powerful than this. This is my go to for basic stuff due to the feel it has. If you have a kid in college or an apartment this would be a good start for them to get into power tools.

Funciona muy bien para todas las ocasiones

Limping screw driver head when working, laxity of batry cap. be aware because it needs 4 AAA unrechargeable alkaline batteries , so if you use it more than home normal usage , after a while you have to spend 4 times of its price just for batteries. After all it helps you to speed up assembling of some thing at home.

I had a rechargeable screwdriver for years. The built-in battery eventually died. I had to throw it away despite the fact that the screwdriver was still in good shape. What a waste. I hate the trend of built-in batteries. This is done on purpose to force people to buy new products.
Also, the screwdriver battery was often in a need of recharge when I needed it so I had to resort to a hand tool or wait until the driver charged up.
I love this one for its replaceable AA batteries . It works very well and it’s powerful enough for my purposes. The only complaint is that I wish there was a separate switch for the light so it can be turned on before you start using it so you can actually see the hole or the screw before you start driving it.

I like the power of this battery operated screwdriver, and that it now comes with an extension attachment, HOWEVER, my only complaint is that I have to carry around or go and find the tips when I need to change from phillips to flathead or vise versa! The older model had the phillips/flathead screwdriver tip so you could just flip it over to use whichever you needed! I’m a bit disappointed this newer model no longer has that capability, but I still prefer black & decker over other brands! My last model of this product has lasted over 30 years and still works! It’s just loose around the lock-in-place area! Another plus is that other brand tips also work with this new model!

So, this is not an expensive tool. It’s a low price point so don’t expect a ton of power. The torque is pretty underwhelming. In fact, it struggled more than I expected when using it to backout and drive my license plate screws. That was with fresh batteries, too. So, if you want something cheap for very light duty that uses batteries instead of an internal rechargeable battery with a short life cycle (like a previous Black and Decker unit similar to this I owned), then you can’t go wrong for the price. I expect this to outlast the rechargeable unit I threw in the trash after buying this one.
