This scooter is well designed and constructed. Assembly instructions were pretty easy to follow, though some components were preassembled and one was a bit problematic. The piece that holds the front wheel assembly to the frame was apparently tightened (crookedly) by a gorilla. I had to beat it with a hammer and then use a large pair of channel lock pliers to take it apart so I could attach the front wheels. That aside, all went well. One of the brakes was bent out of position, also, but the same channel locks took care of that. The scooter is very sturdy and maneuverable, the pad for one’s leg is much thicker than some others and is quite comfortable. The wheels are hard plastic and even with the brakes locked the scooter could slide a bit on a hard surface, but I have not found that to be a problem. The very best mobility assistants can’t protect against the user’s carelessness in every situation. I totally recommend this scooter. It’s saved a lot of wear and tear on my wrists, elbows, and shoulders from using crutches. Buy it. And BTW, I looked into renting one from a medical supply store before I bought this. They wanted $100 a month. I needed this for just over a month and all fees included it cost $98 and change. A really good investment.

I had foot surgery in December, so was unable to walk for 2-3 weeks. This Knee Scooter made my life so much easier than trying to get around on crutches! I was happy when I didn’t need it anymore, but still glad I had it while I did.
It’s fairly stable, although you still need to be careful of course. I liked that it has hand breaks like a bike (very familiar) so you can control it easily and keep it from rolling while you’re trying to get on and off to maneuver around (think toilet). Getting in and out of tight spaces like the restroom can be a challenge (but would be with anything, including crutches). You either have to back out or try to stand on one foot while turning it, like I often did, which could be dangerous (this is not a complaint about the product, just a warning to be careful.)
I didn’t really use the little bag/pack that attaches to the front, but I can see how it could have come in very handy if my needs had been a little different. It’s pretty light weight, so wouldn’t be difficult for a someone to toss it in the car for you.
I thought about renting a similar scooter by the week from a medical supply store, but for a few dollars more I found this scooter on Amazon and decided to just buy it. I’m glad I did so I didn’t have to worry about returning the rental, plus I didn’t take mine outside so my wheels stayed in good condition so they didn’t scratch my hardwood floors or tear up my carpets. I did have to assemble it, which wasn’t difficult, but I’d recommend assembling it before surgery (get used to it before you are on one foot) or getting help assembling if you’re already injured. Make sure to tighten everything down tight!
Overall this Knee Scooter is very well made. The Frame is secure. It feels stable. The knee cushion is fairly soft and comfortable, yet supportive. The breaks function well. I was actually really pleasantly surprised at how nice it is for the price. I would recommend it or even purchase this same model again if I needed to.

I broke my 5th metatarsal, I tried to do crutches but it felt impossible and was exhausting. I looked into renting a knee scooter and it was 90 dollars a month, so I decided to just buy one. This scooter was super easy to assemble and it glides so easily. It’s comfortable and can adjust to fit your size. It’s made maneuvering around the house a breeze.

The scooter works really well on smoother surfaces found in airports, hotels, train stations. It’s a bit of a battle to use on uneven surfaces with large gaps, such as cobblestone. In fact, I found it a bit dangerous and opted to use my crutches for those walks and tours. A really heavy-duty knee scooter might have been more suitable. In the end, this scooter served its purpose of getting to and back from Europe. I continue to use it on the main floor of my home, though tile floors with large grout lines are almost as challenging as cobblestone walkways/streets.
It was easy to assemble and adjust to my size (5’4″, longer arms, and long inseam). You have to experiment and test it out until you find the most comfortable heights for the seat and handlebars. Once I had the settings dialed, I haven’t made any changes since.

Overall, it is a good and helpful product. And I recommend it.
Well made and sturdy. Easy to assemble and drive. The breaks work, but don’t stop the cart entirely or immediately. That has caused some moments of panic. It is difficult to go from floor to carpet or over-the-floor transition strips.
The bag is very convenient, allowing me some “independence” since I can carry the ice pack myself and grab a drink or snack. It would be great if the bag could be raised with the handlebar and perhaps have a cup holder. (Ideas for the next version😀?)
However, the narrow seat doesn’t support the cast/boot safely. I have fallen twice on my left side (which is my bad leg) because the cast and leg are wider than the seat.
The cast slid and slipped out of the seat. And I ended up on the floor with the cart on the injured ankle.
The seat is also hard, so after a little while, it’s uncomfortable, and it causes some pain, which is why I use it as a tricycle sometimes.
I have tried other items to aid mobility during my recovery time. And I have found out the hard way that these products (as 99% of everything else) are not constructed or aimed at fat people.
