This is a fine hot pot, it works as well as any of the others I’ve used. I keep it on my desk for coffee and tea, it heats water faster than my tea kettle and holds about the same amount of water, and it’s more versatile. I can use it for more than hot water. I get around the no on/off switch issue by using a power strip with a light up on/off switch. Plug your pot into the power strip, and plug the power strip into the wall. When you want to turn on your pot flip the power button on the strip, and flip it off when you’re done, easy peasy. I’ve been using it every day since I got it and I’ve had absolutely no problems with the pot, no leaking, and no flaking of the heating plate. The lid fits well. I also use this pot for heating up my lunch, and I’ve boiled eggs in it.

I ordered this, but it seems to have been lost by the USPS. Amazon immediately replaced it, and I love this thing. It’s perfect for cooking a quick ramen snack or meal, or a box of Mac n Cheese.
Took one star away because I really wish this was submersible for washing. It’s not actually difficult to clean, just annoying. If something gets burned on, or you set it aside and food dries onto it, it’s simple to soak it in mild soapy water, rinse and wipe out.

Like: Initially the product worked fine. No issues or complaints.
Dislike: After approximately 12-15 uses it began leaking. It is leaking from the bottom (electric power line/ hole). Leak is not big. But, coming out of the electric supply line/opening is very concerning.
PS: Not my first Brentwood kettle. Previous experience was very good. But, as I thought about it, they also failed after moderate use. Same problem. Leaking at the bottom. Poor sealant or ???
PSS: just saw that this is frequently returned item. disappointing. once it was very good kettle.

I have bought a few of these, albeit with different brand name labels on them. They are all the same basic pot… Just a different label.
👉🏿What I like is that there is no built-in timer so you can use these for steam to inhale. When something has a timer on it as soon as it starts to boil and steam, it will shut off and so they don’t work for this purpose.
This one is BPA free and works very well as a personal steamer and I have recommended it to others for therapeutic purposes, several times

1st impression: Wow, finally a little cooker to make food with like the Sunbeam I had years ago.
2nd impression: It keeps going on and off…huh. Well, it works.
3rd impression: Okay, that was an electrical charge going up my thumb from the fork into my hand.
4th impression: Now using a wooden spoon only, it leaks water everywhere, every time
5th impression: After a month of use the plastic at the bottom near the metal is melting off – game over
