The case feels plasticky, the electronics works well.

Huge capacity 1TB. The drive is a bit wide, but it ls light and easy to use, with retractable connector. It slows a bit, when NOT connected to a USB 3.2 hub, but when it is, it is super fast. Says up to 600 mb/s and it is right there! As fast as any SATA III SSD. Even after heavy writing, it stays cool to the touch. Excellent drive

Disclaimer: This SSD is not compatible with AMD Ryzen CPUs.
I was a bit skeptical at first that a 2 TB external SSD could only cost $100 (typically around >$150) but upon further research, the company Buffalo truly was the real deal.
The actual storage in the drive is 1.81 TB.
As for read speeds, it is quite good but certainly not the fastest compared to other SSDs. Still, it is more than adequate for its price point and it makes for an excellent drive for digital games.
The external features are passable. The material is “plasticky” so I am a bit concerned that if it is dropped, then it might get damaged. Then again, it is rather lightweight so impact damage should not be massive if it does. Also, because it is an SSD and not an HDD, the internal components are less vulnerable to internal damage.
The cord is, again, passable. Nothing that special. The connection to the actual SSD is not the typical USB-C to USB-C but rather this weird double micro-USB connection. Take that as you will.
If you are only using this for storing photos, videos, music, etc., then an HDD would be cheaper and has more storage unless you absolutely need the faster read speeds or the durability for constant travel.
For the few downsides it has, this drive is perfect for the price point and I will be buying more from Buffalo.

Once I FINISHED getting my 800gb of crucial files (from two PCs) onto this ingenious device, this Buffalo SSD (an SSD hiding in a USB stick format) will BE TERRIFIC: IT reads and sends files BACK to any PC very fast. However, I had to backup manually, chunks at a time, because this drive has ZERO head dissipation ability. I.e., after just a few multi-gigabyte multi-file backups TO it, its speed (on my modern PC0 kept thottling back from 400-450 mbps, down to the 20s (!!!). The good news? This gadget DOES protect itself from burning up BY so drastically throttling back. The bad news? Whenever this “throttling” does happen, the drive’s measured temperature has quickly soared from 30 degrees C to over 65. Weirdly, the case gets barely warm, which tells me all that heat just SITS INSIDE, until it is removed and allowed to cool for an hour. HOWEVER, after one finally GETS such big chunks of files ON this drive, it will be GREAT for portability, fast RETRIEVAL of files and reliability.

Working great so far. Tiny for the amount of storage space you get. The plastic usb itself does feel cheap and not sure how durable it would be to abuse. But it is nice for the money and I have purchased a second one.

The usb is basically fully plastic, that being it bends quite easily without pressing too hard. The rest works fine.

un disco esterno veramente utile, e poi piccolo e veloce come disco esterno

Slower than they say.

The unit appears to be in good condition and after settup (simple), appears to work as it should. Transferred a few Videos that are MPEG4 (Blue Ray) and they play back without issue! So far so good, I would recommend these units as they work as advertised.

Does NOT WORK for Sony Playstation 5 disc edition. Says not compatible. I’m sure my son will find another use for it so my $200 doesn’t go to waste.

I just bought my 3rd drive for my mother. I bought 1TB and two 2TB. It works fast and has a large storage size for the price. The construction is plastic and is very light, but has not been damaged after a year. The width of the drive does not interfere with my other ports, but it depends on the other devices you have plugged in. They are rolling out a 4TB version.

Transfers at 300. Easy to use and at a great price. Remember when something this would cost $1200 twenty years ago? These drives sure have come a long way. I bought. A one and a two terabyte for movie storage and will no doubt get another two T as soon as I can.
