We had a BUNN at work and I wanted one at home. If you are familiar with BUNN you probably understand why and that’s why you’re looking at these. Thus far it has performed well. The cup capacity is just right for us – two people can get two large mugs of coffee each per brew. I bought the plastic pitcher that is offered for filling the tank but truthfully you don’t need it. Setup is easy IMO, just follow the directions or there is a video you can watch but we didn’t need it. The directions are clear and adequate. It is FAST! It brews a pot in about 3 minutes and the coffee is hot and it brings out the full rich taste and smells divine. It does not have an auto shut off so you do need to be mindful of that because it keeps whatever is left in the pot hot all day until you do turn it off. You can’t program it to wake you to the smell of coffee but we just set it up the night before, fill the carafe with water just as any other and in the morning pour, push the button and you are ready before you can say Bob’s your uncle, or as I said, 3 minutes. I also bought the BUNN filters but we’ve been using the same ones from our previous coffee maker until they are gone and have had no issues with them. I have not emptied the water tank and given it an overall cleaning. I will need an assistant to lift it though I do not anticipate a problem. It doesn’t say how often to do that but I generally cleaned my others every 2 months so it’s not time yet. There is nothing to make it look intimidating. Husband really likes it. It’s a little on the pricey side but that was not a surprise. It’s probably the basic model of BUNN but we are both happy with the performance and look forward to enjoying it for hopefully more than a year or two as has been the case with some of our other coffee makers.

We had our bunn Tim hortons pot for years but it kicked the bucket. I knew I needed another one similar to it. And this is it!! It’s easy to use, makes a pot of coffee in about 2 minutes and it’s HOT! Not sure why it has negative reviews because I couldn’t be happier with it.
Yes if you like super strong coffee it might shoot some grinds out because the force of the water coming out. 3 heaping tablespoons(kirkland brand) is plenty strong enough for me with ZERO ISSUES. I hope it lasts as long as my Timmie’s one did. Buy it, you’ll love it. I was sceptical with the ad reviews but I’m glad I did. 10 stars

This is the 4th one we’ve had. Each one lasted years beyond the warranty. Keeps water at brewing temperature at all times, ready to brew. No waiting. Coffee ready in 4 or 5 min. after adding the water and closing the lid. No fancy controls or timers. Product of the U.S.A.

Very quick coffee, which I love. Coffee tastes great! Set up is easy. I had a Tim Horton’s Bunn years ago and loved it too. Overall, I am very pleased with it but there are a couple of things I like to see improved.
I really wish there was a timer for the burner switch. We have been careful about turning it off when the coffee pot is low or empty but the timer would be an added protection for not forgetting to turn it off.
Also, I am not too happy about the price of Bunn coffee filters. I prefer the non bleached kind, I didn’t see any Bunn non bleached filters although I may have missed them. For this type of coffee pot you need have to have a thinner filter because the water comes through pretty fast and needs to flow through the filter easily. Otherwise it will back up and you will have coffee grounds and hot water overflowing and making a huge mess. This hasn’t happened to me yet as I am using the filters that came with coffee pot.
Edit. I did try a different brand of non-bleached filters. Didn’t work.

We are coffee drinkers – gotta have it first thing in the morning. After many years we got really tired of waiting 10-12 minutes for a pot of coffee to brew, and started looking around for one that could brew faster. We found reviews for the Bunn Velocity and decided to try it. Success! This baby makes a full 10-cup pot of hot coffee in 3 minutes flat, and partial pots even faster. I like my coffee strong and my hubby likes it medium (weak lol) so we each make ourselves about a half pot and it works out great. (we have extra carafes because this isn’t out first Bunn) The flavor is good, not weak – guess this is because it keeps a reservoir of hot water at all times.
It’s easy to use once you **read the instructions**; just set the carafe on the warmer BEFORE you close the lid where you put the water in. And buy the Bunn brand filters – other brands are mostly not quite tall enough and can overflow. A few other reviewers mention the basket overflowing if the coffee is ground too fine but we’ve never had any issues with that; we’ve always just used regular medium roast ground coffee from the grocery.
Cleaning any coffee maker can be a chore, but this one’s not too labor intensive unless you need to deep clean it for storage. We have naturally soft tap water so it doesn’t get much sediment buildup, but I still run the coil thingy through about once a month.
This is our 4th one in about 15 years. After 5 years, our last one was still making coffee just fine, but the warmer plate switch quit working. This happened to our first one as well.
Overall a great fast-brewing coffee maker. We will definitely keep buying them until Bunn (heaven forbid!) stops making them.

This unit stores one pot of water in a rear reservoir that it is supposed to keep heated, so that you get an instant pot of coffee in less than five minutes.
The problem is, the water in the rear reservoir is NEVER heated hot enough to get a good pot of coffee from. And there is no thermostat to allow you to turn up the temperature.
If coffee water is not near boiling, then the coffee is more acidic and can cause acid reflux and other digestive issues. This is exactly the problem that I have with this unit.
You can also not make a pot for a few days with it, and the water in the rear reservoir will cool right off, you never hear it heating the water back up.
Useless if you have issues with acidic coffee acid reflux.
I use good coffee with my unit, the McDonalds grind, and I get acid reflux from this unit but not from the coffee that I buy from the drive-thru. The drive-thru coffee will burn your lips, this coffee maker is nowhere near that hot. A total waste of money.

First of all, this produces excellent, restaurant style coffee. In the end that’s really all that matters, and why I’m giving 5 stars.
With that said, I find the design strange and the machine is rather fiddley. The machine has an internal water tank that needs takes 15 minutes to warm up before brewing. Unless you’re willing to leave it always on, even if you’re asleep or away from home, that means it realistically takes 20 min to brew a pot. When you do brew, you pour cold water in the top, close the lid, and the hot water rushes out brewing a pot rather quickly… and sometimes overflowing. It helps to use coarse ground coffee and keep it loose without packing it. I wind up standing near it to open the lid to stop the brewing if it starts to spill over. Supposedly you can contact them and get a different brew head.

The best cup of drip coffee you can make at home. The person who wrote the setup instructions deserves an award for clarity. Even a dummy like me who struggles to follow instructions can set this machine up easily and error free.
Pros: Best drip coffee you can drink at home. It rivals the coffee served by the best restaurants and diners. Fast brewing. A full pot of coffee brews in 2 to 3 minutes.
Cons: If you live in an area with soft water, you must call Bunn to obtain a flow restrictor or use a coarser grind of coffee. Note, coarser grind affects the taste. Bunn will ship the flow restrictor to you free of charge but it is basically a 10 cent piece of plastic which should be included in the box. While you wait 2 or 3 days for the flow restrictor to arrive, remove the existing spray nozzle and break off a toothpick in one of the holes. This temporary measure solves the problem but gives your coffee a slight “tooth picky” taste.
Still, if you like a morning cup of coffee this machine is worth the price.
