It’s a Christmas gift so haven’t used it, all the equipment had a great feel in your hand, quality steel, looking forward to the surprise when it’s opened!

hatchet was a little small, nice for small things around the campsite. blades came out of the box sharp. would definately buy again.

Blades are all very sharp and appear to be good quality. Haven’t used yet so don’t know for certain that they will hold their edge. I was amazed at all that was in the package for the price

The tools are small but very sturdy. They would absolutely work in case of emergency. Definitely read the description closely so you know what to expect.
Meshinator –
Let me start with the good. This is a really solid set of camping/outdoor tools. The grips all feel really comfortable and quality in your hands. The wrapping and rubber feel really nice too. The black blades feel modern, and it comes with an assortment of other useful things, such as a bright headlamp, some carabiners and a nice bundle of paracord. The blades aren’t sharp out off the jump (as expected) but that is easily remedied.
I don’t know if I would call the blade a “machete,” as the machete I have is about 2 feet long, where is this one feels like a really large bowie knife with sawblade configuration on the back. Regardless, it feels like a really solid blade with good weight.
My two things are: I think this product would benefit MASSIVELY from coming in a neat carrying case, instead of the cardboard box (picture included). Market it as an all-in-one ready to go camping solution.
Secondly, and this is a minor QA issue, but, the second button on the ‘hilt’ of the larger blade was completely stuck, I had to use a screwdriver to pop it off.
TLDR: 4/5 stars for minor wishes and issues, but really solid choice for outdoorsy people looking for a set of affordable tools.
