Works great for my rabbit for her bedding. A lot is packed into the bed and does a good job at absorbing the mess she makes. Only complaint is the bedding is a little tough but not bad!

I have had more than half a dozen hamsters in my lifetime, and this soft paper bedding is far preferable to cheaper bedding made from wood chips, etc. The wood chips are often scented with oils, which is not good for hamsters to smell 100% of the time. The paper bedding has basically no scent and absorbs urine and other odors. Hamsters love to burrow into their bedding, and this is great for snuggling. As with all bedding, this type must be changed weekly.

I always get this for my animals off amazon because you get so much for such a good price! I’ve used a lot of varieties and this one is pretty basic but gets the job done. It’s kind of looks like shredded up card board, it’s easy to clean, doesn’t stick too bad on the bottom of the cages, still has a bit of a fluffy texture (though not as much as the white varieties), and as far as bedding goes is standard sized. It’s a very nice sized bag for the price. I am able to clean two hamster cages and a guinea pig cage with two guinea pigs in it for about 3-4 cleanings depending on who does the changing. Well worth it especially compared to some in store prices!

We bought this to use in litter boxes for my son’s pet rats, as it’s different from their main bedding. No complaints!

The best paper bedding I know of and far superior for Guinea pigs than other products. It is dust free, controls odor, soft for their feet and easy to keep clean. Just pick up the poop and wet spots, add clean bedding and they are good to go. Fleece can be attractive but unless changed almost daily it “smells” and while less expensive than paper bedding, I don’t have the time to do laundry almost daily. I should also note that Carefresh is a terrific company…I received several bags of inferior quality that I had ordered online made by a new supplier to them and they immediately appologized and sent me coupons for free replacements when I reported it to them. Not many companies will do that.
Move ahead to May 2018…I don’t know what happened to Carefresh but their soft, fluffy paper beddding has been replaced by large clumps of hard pieces of paper that have a chemical smell and do not absorb urine as well. I again reached out to the company which again offered free coupons for replacement bags but the bags in the stores are just as bad so that was no help. I’m afraid to order online because I don’t know what I’ll receive. In the past I’ve returned bags to Amazon, Chewy and Petsmart online. I think my days of buying Carefresh Ultra are over and that is really sad.

A lot goes along way!! You get so much in this compressed package that I’ll be good for awhile. I use it for my bunnies litter box. He likes it too. It’s basically just soft paper so if he eats it that’s ok!!

This is great recycled paper bedding, and it’s a far better value here on Amazon than in most brick and mortar chain pet stores.
The confetti color is colorful and really funny. Our pigs didn’t know what to make of it when we first lined the cage with it!
After cleaning the cage on day 1, we line it with about half an inch of the bedding. Then on day 3 another half inch to cover the waste and renew the flooring. On day 5, dump all the bedding and poops in the compost and start back at day 1. This system is working well for us, and avoids the hassle we had working with the GuineaDad fleeces.
