Really very nice set of suspenders; best I have ever had. Nice and wide. Really durable hardware. Only problem is that the clasps are so heavy duty that they project sharpish edges and will scratch Mommas furniture if you wear them in the house. They will tear a hole in your Easy Boy (ask me how I know). Wear in the shop or on the job–no problem.

I have a senior male body. The location of my waistline is a hypothetical matter. When I wear belts, my pants ride down. With suspenders, my pants are held in position by straps over my shoulders. The straps are comfortable. My shoulders don’t move around, and neither do my pants.
This is my second pair of Carhartt suspenders. The first pair is red. I’ve been wearing the red suspenders for 4-5 years, with no sign of wear and tear. The red suspenders get a lot of positive comment. I bought a second, navy pair for days when I want less attention.
I’ve had other suspenders. The clips, that attach to one’s pants, can wear out, lose their grip. That has not been the case with the Carhartt suspenders. Good product.

While one of the more costly choices for suspenders thes Carhartt ones are great. I have worn them daily and find the clasps very secure even holding when rubbed against things. The elastic is very strong and has proper elasticity. The connecting leather is good quality. Lots of adjustment and I am a 3xl 300+lb guy.
Just buy these and thank yourself later.

They seem like they will last a long time and look/feel amazing. Will buy another pair or two if the price is right.

Good quality and very comfortable.

This is my husband’s second set of Carhart suspenders. After washing the first pair out by hand several times, they lost a bit of elasticity, so it was time for a new pair. They hold his jeans up and that’s what he wants them for. He works outside on a farm, and these work well for him.

These Carhartt suspenders do exactly what I needed them for with comfort. I can depend on the clips to hold them in place exactly where I put them. No worries about the clips coming undone either. The wide straps donโt cut into my skin and have good stretch. Very durable, comfortable, dependable suspenders for everyday use.

I find suspenders easier to wear than fooling around with a belt. I like these suspenders, but I had a problem with one of the heavy duty clips losing its spring, causing the particular attachment to come loose. Even though the spring is off, the attachment may remain, but if I sit in a chair that causes movement to the clip covering, that will cause the disconnect. So I am mostly happy, but I watch these clips-these things happen at the worst times, of course. Otherwise, the suspenders work fine for their intended purpose.

Some people wear suspenders proudly, while others won’t even consider them. I was in the latter group, but once I tried suspenders (for comfort while recuperating from surgery), I quickly became a convert. I had thought that constantly tugging on your jeans was just one of life’s fundamental principles. It’s not. And if you don’t like the look, they work fine under your shirt.
Anyway, I bought 3 different kinds: Dickies, HoldUp Suspender Company, and Carhartt heavy duty.
DICKIES: The Dickies are my favorite. PROs: they are inexpensive and the material is lighter, stretchier, and more comfortable. I am less aware of wearing them. They are my go-to for everyday, informal use. CONs: None.
The HoldUps. These are the TSA compliant version. (Buy two, so you have a spare in case one breaks while traveling.) PROs: They make air-travel much less of a hassle. These are also a little nicer and would be more appropriate for a suit, although they would certainly work with jeans. They have a wide range of materials, colors, and hardware. CONs: The material is thicker and more rubberized, so you are more aware of wearing them and they are a little hotter in summer. Also the length adjustments are plastic and seem prone to slip, but not a big deal, and a worthwhile tradeoff to avoid TSA hassles. Expensive vs. the Dickies.
The Carhartt’s. These are for heavy-duty work environments. PROs: Oversize, high-quality hardware means they will almost always stay attached and that they will hold up heavy loads–think heavy waterproof pants for for fire-fighters, etc. (Still, they work perfectly fine with jeans.) CONs: They are heavy, 2″ wide, and you are always conscious of wearing them. Expensive vs. the Dickies.
(Same review posted for Dickies, HoldUp, and Carhartt.)

I have been using Carhartt products for several years now. The men’s utility suspenders with the side clasp work great. I’m up in age and have a small belly, the side clasp does not show that so much.

I wear these while I do garden work. Theyโre super comfortable and really sturdy. Iโm 6โ3โ, and thereโs room to grow

In my retirement, I find myself hiking a mountain one to two times a week. Since I have lost weight all of my hiking pants slide off me. The suspenders are well-made and work great and have saved me from embarrassment.

Every good thing theyโre saying about these suspenders is true. Theyโre durable, the clasps are all metal. Good for workwear. They never fall off or come unclasped. They look OK when you wear them and the price is right. If youโre looking for the real deal in suspenders, this is what you want to order.
