Cariloha Resort Sateen Sheet Set | Queen

These sheets are luxurious straight to the point. Actual resort like quality not just in the name but in the quality and comfort. Made from sateen, different from satin but still with the ultra smooth-like feel, not silky but smooth! Which I much more prefer over silk. This sateen is made with bamboo fibers, I’m not too into what that all is, but all I know is that you can feel the quality.

➤ Comfort: Laying in it is the best bed experience ever! The 2 best things for beds is a new mattress and new sheets! These first use and after washing a few times is still like brand new super soft experience! The bottom fitted sheet has great elastic corners and ends for gripping my queen mattress and stays in place even a week without me having to adjust it. The sheets say they’re naturally thermal regulating and extra cooling sheets, and I’ve tried my fair share of cooling sheets. With this value I would expect nothing less but I’m happy to say they they do stay cool, even when you’re laying in the same spot or wake up in the morning it’s still cool to the touch. In the fall and colder weather you will get quite chilly. I don’t find myself being too cold and the sheets are soft and keep you cozy and therefore warm, but once you move your legs, yeah you’ll feel it keeping its temperature and it feels amazing.

➤ For the first few uses when you put it on you will notice some adjusting and wrinkles from laying on it so I had to adjust the bottom sheet so it flattens out again and it’s not wrinkling as much anymore. The top sheet is, a top sheet. I was never a fan of them until my girlfriend told me to use one and now I can’t go back. It’s the same material as the bottom and feels great and comfortable with the soft sateen feeling too. The stitching is beautifully woven and seamless, literally, only small bumps on it is at the top and the sides which are super smooth and minimal giving it a clean look.

➤ Colors: I got the blue lagoon, which I didn’t know what color it would be, I thought the pictures were wrong because it looked almost black and when I looked it up what blue lagoon was it looked like a light blue color. This is definitely a very unique and almost color changing color and I’m happy I went with this one. In certain lighting it almost looks grey, in fact it looks very grey/black. There’s the slightest bit of dark blue on it that makes the color blue lagoon and it looks really modern and clean. I like that it’s simple and almost grey but when you actually pay attention to it you see the blue come out. You can definitely see it if you have a grey blanket like I do.

These definitely make themselves look like high quality sheets and that’s exactly how I feel about them, there’s nothing I could find that would say different, maybe except for they do slide and if you wear silk pajamas you’ll be sliding around like you’re on a slip n slide.
If I needed a new pair of sheets again, I’ll consider these again if I wanted to go fancy. If they do hold up for over a year or more, that will be the main factor. I’ll definitely update this down the line for that reason.

These Cariloha Resort sheets are the most expensive I’ve ever purchased, so I approached them with a critical eye. They feel quite soft, akin to viscose bamboo sheets, though not as light—viscose cotton, perhaps. My hope is that their value lies in their durability over time, but that will take a while to assess.

In terms of heat distribution, they’ve done well so far. As a hot sleeper, I appreciate that they don’t make me feel overheated. However, I do notice an interesting balance with my overhead fan that’s worth mentioning. Underneath my light duvet, these sheets have made for quite comfortable sleep, which is definitely a plus.

Now, can I say they’re incredibly different from other sheet sets I’ve owned? Honestly, I struggle to find that distinction. There are cheaper alternatives out there that offer similar comfort, and I can’t help but feel that the inflated price comes from their “resort-ready” branding. That said, they did arrive smelling fresh and ready to use right out of the package.

If you have sensitive skin or a sensitivity to materials while sleeping, these sheets might be worth the investment. For me, though, I find it hard to justify the price. Overall, I appreciate the experience of bringing a piece of resort comfort into my home (allegedly), but I wonder if I could find something just as good for less.
