First thing to consider when making this purchase, 87” desk is massive! All furniture combined requires a good amount office space. I recommend an office space at least 14’x14’, any space smaller I recommend a smaller desk. Several parts where lost during delivery & a panel was busted. Customer service came through; friendly, professional & quick. I received all busted & missing parts within a week. Finally, did not come with assembly instructions. If you’ve ever assembled furniture before, it’s no big deal.

This was the most beautiful furniture set I could ever have imagined to buy and it was even more beautiful in person. It is massive, heavy and so well designed. It commands a presence in the room as soon as people come in. It is over 7 feet long and I don’t know why I didn’t realize that but it is amazing because I can fit everything I need on the desk. Customer service was amazing and just great. Only thing to know is if you order from Amazon go to website to download the instruction manual 🙂

As others have mentioned this desk is HUGE and the set is VERY HEAVY. You’re going to need a good bit of floor space for it. I’d thought my home office was plenty large for most anything, but this is right on the edge of perfect fit and to large. You’re likely going to need help moving the boxes around and even some of the individual parts. I’d suspect the desk top weighs in at well over 100lbs. One person can assemble it, but you really need at least two people. I had to get very creative getting the desk top in place by myself.
This isn’t the typical self assembly furniture. It’s much heavier and very well made. It’s a bit of a pian to assemble, you need to pay VERY CLOSE attention to the directions. They’re very similar to putting together a model car with lots of good drawings, but no written directions. I wasn’t able to work out any way to match up the numbers on the drawings to the stickers on the actual panels. You’ve got a few choices to figure out what several parts are. Good Luck, there are only very subtle, but highly important difference in several panels. I think I ended up having to build sections of the the large credenza at least 4 times due to not paying close enough attention to which panels were which and even installing them upside down at times. I did find one mistake on the instructions. The middle door is hinged to the right side of the door, the drawings show it to the left.
There were a few missing parts in the kit. The credenza feet were missing and finally 7 other little assembly parts. Both were quickly shipped.
I’ve had quite a few compliments on it from everyone who has seen it.

If we could have sent this furniture back we would have. This is without question a heavy duty office set and beautiful when installed – the shipping packaging, however is poor at best – We had a couple pieces that were damaged. But trying to ship it back was seemingly impossible- The assembly instructions are incredibly deficient. They are all on line with no written instructions provided. They could do themselves and the consumer trying to assemble this furniture a huge favor by hiring someone to create instructions that are detailed and then spend 50 cents, print them up. and include them with the furniture. Every piece of furniture was short on hardware. The kicker on this whole transaction is this, we paid $2800 through Amazon only to find it later (while trying to find lacking hardware) for $1800 through Home Depot – We still have the cabinets unassembled in our office due to missing hardware. The aggravation factor has been huge…. I can count on one hand the number of reviews I’ve submitted in my lifetime- This is one I regretfully submit.

What the seller calls instructions are just diagrams showing the parts laid out. Each panel on the sheet is numbered, but the actual panels were not numbered. Trying to figure out how everything fit together was a challenge. I had to disassemble the credenza as 2 panels were on the opposite sides of where they belonged. They looked identical, but when I tried to add the doors, they wouldn’t line up.
I was not able to install the center door on the credenza because I had to adjust the hinges on the other doors to the extreme to get them to close, so there wasn’t enough space for the middle door. It looks fine without the door and no one would ever know there was supposed to be a door in the middle. Speaking of hinges, the unit required 12 of them for the doors. 2 on each of the 3 doors in the center and 3 for each of the tall end doors. The kit contained 5 of one style and 7 of another. I’m OCD, so that was traumatic. 😉
I had to purchase additional pins for the credenza as there weren’t enough in the package.
It’s now assembled and looks great, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience.
