I have paid more money for soft cases, this one is sturdy yet light and protects more than any soft case.

I recently purchased a Nektar Impact LX61+ Synth and was having a lot of trouble trying to find an affordable case for it. I ordered a soft case (gig bag) for it, but the fit wasn’t even close and the keyboard was flopping around inside. I needed something better for protection.
I found this case and it arrived yesterday. I was so impressed… the keyboard fit like a glove. I couldn’t have done better had I ordered a custom fit case. This case is amazing. Very sturdy construction, nice hinges, lots of extra internal padding if you need it, in-built hasps for placing locks, and perfect fit.
The case is advertised as supporting keyboards up to 37.8″ in length. The Nektar keyboard is exactly 38″ in length, so it only needed to compress the internal foam padding by .1″ on each end, so not a problem.
This case will be perfect for transporting the keyboard from home to the studio and to local gigs, so I am extremely happy with it. Much better than the padded gig bag.
If you have one of the Nektar Impact LX61+ keyboards, you won’t find a better fitting hard shell case for it at this price point. HIGHLY recommended.

While the photos of the case in the listing look like it could be sturdy, unfortunately, it is not. The case is made with very soft plastic and the lid could literally bend back and forth when applying slight pressure. The bottom part of the case has a bunch of support rods (see photo). Since the foam on the bottom of the case is lined with very thin foam, I could feel the support rods poking through the foam. If there’s pressure applied to the case, these support rods would act as pressure points that could damage the casing of the keyboard.
If you have a keyboard that you spent your hard-earned money on, don’t trust it in this case. You can probably use it for home storage but at that point, you would be better off using a soft case or gig bag. Absolutely not recommended for heavy-duty usage.
