I’ve used this watch as my beater/work watch, as I have with other Casio watches in the past. This watch is marketed as “Heavy Duty” and I’d say that’s not too far fetched. It can take a fair amount of abuse and happily continue on performing. The only thing I’ve had stop this particular watch (temporarily) has been the battery finally quit after 3 years (it did give me a warning it was getting weak, but it was a trooper and kept accurate time almost to the end), and then one of the straps finally ripped on me, also after 3 years of at least 5-days a week installing/uninstalling on my wrist, so I don’t fault it for finally tearing. This watch, for me, leads a tough life with less than ideal conditions (dusty, sometimes wet, slid up against/along brick walls, block walls, stone, various metal, sharp edges, always up against something it seems due to tight work spaces) and it has the scars to prove it, as pictured. To me, this model seems similar in styling to a G-Shock but without a G-Shock price tag (great bang for your buck), and that’s what I was looking for in a work watch that I intended on beating up. I like this watch so much that I had a new battery installed & put on a replacement band for the side that ripped, then put it back in service.. And then I also ordered another new one as a spare. Great overall watch!

To summarize: I’ve found this watch to, overall, be a good watch, just not ideal for my particular needs.

Now, I’ve worn a watch 24/7/365 since I was in 3rd grade. If I can’t wear a watch to bed, in the shower & when I jump in the pool it’s not for me. While I have different watches for different needs (work, every day, dress, SCUBA diving) I have no need for a delicate, fragile watch. Also, doing HVAC, I work with my hands. Suffice it to say, I beat the everliving crap out of my work watches. I have been through dozens of work watches of various styles & brands through the years. By now Casio is pretty much the only brand I buy for work watches. In my experience, no other brand has even come close to the right balance of features, toughness, value & looks.

I got this watch for a work watch. It is insanely light which means it’s inherently comfortable. The face is very clean & exaggerated so it’s very easy to see the time even at the quickest glance. Like the vast majority of Casio watches, even if it isn’t a G-shock, it takes a heck of a beating. I also like the size & chunky look to it. While I like that look it’s also a drawback. It’s a thick case that juts up pretty far off the arm. Couple that with the many edges and it means it gets caught a lot in tight areas. Also, I find the timing function on this watch pretty useless. It basically maxes out at 30 min and the hands, markers & numbers are so small you really have to take your time looking close to read it.

Overall, this is a good watch. True to Casio’s MO, it’s a very good value. Unfortunately, it falls shy of my needs for a work watch but I’m sure it would meet the needs of plenty of other people.

I love this thing. It is WAY lighter than its bulk would indicate and more comfortable on the wrist too. It is Cheap! It is EASY to READ. Of course it keeps good time! It is a secret statement about function and value. I kind of like that it is confused with its famous older brother. It is not better but it is simpler which itself is “better” in a sneaky kind of way. It is a “no worries” watch.

I bought this watch before going on a beach vacation with a specific purpose to wear it while swimming in the ocean. So far, this Casio water-resistant watch has met the expectations for the most part.
Here is what I like about it:
    – Despite the size of the watch, it is very light. Sometimes I forget that I have it on.
    – It is water-resistant. I did not experience any issues while being in the water.
    – The hands and the dial markings are large, so you can clearly see everything. I take off my eyeglasses before going swimming and had no issues reading the watch dial.
    – The design is chronograph-like, the watch looks nice and rugged, and not gaudy as some sport watches on the market.
    – The watch is very accurate. I set it a few months ago and it is still correct.

Overall, I would recommend this Casio watch if you are looking for an easy-to-read water-resistant sport watch.

Very nicely designed watch at a very good price. Easy to read dial and numbers.
It does what it is supposed to do: Nothing more, nothing less. It should be noted that the watch does not have any additional functions like an alarm function but it does what it is supposed to do – keep clear and accurate time.

When it comes to rugged and stylish reasonably priced watches, few watch makers can match Casio. This watch is an excellent example of Casio craftsmanship at a very reasonable price point This watch is fully analog, meaning that other than the date display, there is no digital interface at all. In that sense, this watch is very traditional in it’s function, but it’s look and style are thoroughly modern. Setting the date and time requires some patience as you have to manually turn the hands forward and back with the crown. Also, the date display has to be set ahead at the end of all months that are less than 31 days long, which means for the months of February, April, June, September and November, you have to manually move the date forward to the first of the month at the end of each of those months. Not a huge deal, but something to consider if you don’t want to have to deal with re-setting the date at the end of the short months. I have three other Casio watches, all of which run beautifully after years of use. I highly recommend this watch.
