If you are looking for the best espresso machine, that is easy to make cappuccinos and lattes, this is it!
Before buying this one, I had another brand with a similar design. It was a 15bar pump and make good Lattes, but this machine that comes with a 20 bar pump, and 1350W is far superior. Why?
Well, for one thing the 15 bar machine did not extract the coffee flavor as well. So it’s definitely worth paying for the 20 bar pump! And the 1200W machine just does not heat up the coffee water enough to make a hot cup. So you really do need 1350W!
The froth option is also ideal and this machine makes good froth! Plus you can “ad froth” easily …And the “clean button” works fast and does a good job. In fact, I like using a milk container to make froth vs uses a steaming stick, because I just press buttons, which is easier. And as I said, this machine makes good froth very quick.
…But here’s another benefit I did not expect: This Chefman (20 bar pump) machine does such a good job extracting the coffee — without burning the beans — that I don’t need to use the large size coffee press to get a strong brew. Consequently, I use less 50% less coffee, and this machine make a great cup, which means I will save 50% or buying coffee!
To say the least, I never knew I could make such good lattes and cappuccinos at home. So I highly recommend this 20 bar machine!

I really loved this machine, until I didn’t. I’ve cleaned it and maintained it as expected, and it still quit on me after 6 months. I’ve tried to go through the warranty, but it wants me to do all of this troubleshooting that goes absolutely nowhere. It still does not work. Complete waste of money. I read all of the reviews and did all of my research and thought that it might be the right fit, but I could not have been more wrong. I’m extremely bummed and frankly, a little sad.
Signed,
Espressoless

I loved my espresso machine but a year and a half in, it stopped preheating. It’s just stuck on “preheating” when I use the frother and it never froths anymore. I guess for value, I enjoyed it for a year and a half but I would rather spend more money for something that will last.
Other things to note: it is too loud to use when the rest of the house is sleeping. A few comments mention the reservoir souring but I have never experienced this, I just keep my reservoir in the fridge when it’s not in use. It’s easy to use. It comes with multiple ways to make espresso (double/single/pods). But the milk reservoir has broken before, I fixed it, and now I cannot get the heating mechanism to work.

Maybe I got a defective machine? The temperature of all of the drinks produced was warm, I wouldn’t say hot. The double size latte barely makes 3-4 ounces. The Nespresso capsules never would make more than an ounce or two even when double shot espresso was selected (without using the steam frother functions), and water was left in the top of the capsule holder every time. I tried different flavors from 5 different boxes. When I tried several times using grounds instead, double lattes would barely make 4 ounces if that so I had to go through the process 2-3 times for each drink. I used grounds with light tamp pressure and I used medium tamp pressure so I don’t believe it’s my technique preventing the water from entering the bottom. Upon removing the bar handle each time, there was a mess of espresso that pours out on me and the counter instead of in the glass. Not like the photos nor icons on the machine. I wish it would make nice crema every time and that the lattes would make a full size drink with more dairy than the cappuccino. It’s definitely not like baristas make. I’m going to try another brand of espresso machine. I expected a loud process but my husband thought I was crazy for trying to brew with this particular one so many times. The espresso is bold but such a let down: messy, requires2-3 times the effort, wastes all ingredients except less creamer than desired, and it’s just plain warm. The only other plus is that it warms up quicker than a Keurig.

Been using this for a month now, and it is easy to use; one review suggested it was difficult to put the holder in for the grounds, but it fits snug, and has to be aligned right to make the cup with the grounds fit right into the machine–when aligned it’s easy. Water shows low level when not enough water; self cleans, and the milk pitcher can be removed and put in fridge–it’s at first difficult to snap into place but with use it gets easier, tilt the milk container slightly upward and push it into place. For the price of this machine, that makes everything the more expensive machines make, it’s a superior machine cost wise. Buy it; I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Can’t see spending thousands on something that this machine can do for far less.

I love this machine. It worked great. I bought it October of 2023 it. It broke a couple of days ago I am currently waiting to see if the company replaces it since it broke. The handle that adjust the milk flow is what broke. The company got Back to me right away. I will let you know the results.

I’m one of these guys that regularly tries to steal my life back from Starbucks, ditch the expense and waiting in line. I’ve bought many cappuccino machines to this end – expensive ones, fancy ones, and usually, within a month or so, I’m back in line with the other plebs for my fix. Reasons: other machines were too big, too messy, too noisy, with uneven results
But this little machine might do the trick. Clocking in at less than 200 dollars, it’s essentially plastic but engineered well, it does pump out 20 pounds of pressure, and always makes good shots. The froth system is compact, and you’re thinking “no way this is gonna be any good.” But it is. They’ve got all the bases covered. The machine is compact, and you don’t look up to find your espresso mess extending over half a kitchen countertop, like some of the pricy big boys.
