Love this kettle! I expect it was returned because it was missing the infuser. Not a problem for me as I would NEVER brew my tea in the same place that I boil the water. Nor would I EVER boil the tea leaves. Ick ick ick!
PROS 1) First, I love that I can choose the temp and that the choices color coded. And I enjoy occasionally watching the heating process. 2) With a wide mouth, it’s easy to fill and easy to clean. 3) With the lid on, it pours generously, but is easily controlled. And it doesnt leak, if you overpour!
CON It doesn’t heat as quickly as my previous kettle, but I knew that when I saw the wattage.
On the whole, this is a great kettle, and I highly recommend it to people who enjoy a variety of teas brewed to perfection.

Nice looking kettle with temperature settings for how hot you want your brew. With set colour LED’s for the selected temperature, that also gives the appliance a nice look when boiling the water. Does come with a stainless steel infuser I think it’s called that allows you to add tea inside and boil the water with the tea steeping inside the infuser that attaches to the bottom of the lid. The main thing I noticed above all with this kettle compared to all the others I have ever had is the drastic reduction in noise it makes when boiling water. Maybe I have just had cheap bad kettles in the past but with the open concept living room/kitchen that I have it was a very welcomed feature. In the past it was difficult hearing the tv without increasing the volume when boiling water, this was a non issue with this kettle. The kettle will also beep when set on the power pad and when it has finished heating the water to the set temperature letting you know it’s finished. Seems to be a quality built appliance that looks good and functions well.

Replacing an older model that simply gave up the ghost and stopped heating.
1. Shipped in manufacturer’s packaging. Box was NOT taped shut. A minor issue since product arrived safely but perhaps a heads up to Amazon.
2. Controls on this model are on the handle as opposed to the last model where controls were on the base. Controls are simpler e.g. No LCD temperature display but adequate and workable. The temperature is selected by repetitively pressing one button on the handle. Temperature set is indicated by the color of a ring of LEDs around the base of the kettle.
3. The kettle does NOT bring water to a boil rapidly. It took 12 minutes to bring a full kettle of room temperature water to a full boil. Plan accordingly.
4. The kettle does have a keep warm function but only for the 212F boil function which resets when kettle is lifted off the base. A nuisance. Last model would keep warm at any selected temperature and did not reset. .
5. The glass kettle is a plus because it is easy to see the fill markers. Watching water boil is also satisfying. It also means that there are no plastic parts in contact with boiling water.
6. Warning: Never reach across the kettle to Unplug the power cable or you will get a steam burn. This is not a fault of the kettle but just something to be aware of.
All in all this is a good kettle at a reasonable price. If it lasts as long as the last one (4 years of daily use) I will be happy.

I had a major flood with no running water for 49 days. I lived on bottled water and it was dicey to carry hot water across the house to my bathroom for occasional mini baths. I bought this to heat a couple gallons of water for a mini bath (using a new Rubbermaid dishpan) as it was the only way to get clean at home. I absolutely love this!! I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd one for my kitchen or in case I broke the first one. Love the temperature selections and the fun lights and the quick heating! It has auto shut off and beeps when it’s ready. If you find yourself in a similar situation, get yourself a rubber dishpan to place inside your tub or shower and fill it 2/3 full with hot water and one 1/3 cold water and you’ll be able to get by on about 2 gallons of water for a shampoo, rinse, conditioner, rinse and body wash. I heated the room first using an electric heater as my furnace was a water based system and Iv didn’t have water for almost 2 months! This was a game changer for a nice hot mini bath/andi used a Rubbermaid 16oz tall, narrow container to pour warm water over my head and collected it into the Rubbermaid dishpan. It was like a mini shower and gave me a few minutes of feeling normal in a difficult situation. This delightful Chefman kettle helped dissipate my stress and was very reliable. It’s very well made and the colorful lights lifted my spirits.
