Clarks Women’s Maye Strap Ankle Boots

These fit way bigger than expected. I’ve had Clark’s in the past and found the regular fit to be quite snug. I tried a wide in this boot and it was way too wide. The shaft and ankle of the boot was also quite big and there was a quite a bit of wiggle room in the heel and ankle. I unfortunately had to return but the color was absolutely beautiful and it sucks they didn’t fit right because they are very nice.

If you’re a jeans gal and want a good looking boot for around town or riding the Harley these are the way to go

UPDATE. Ok after spraying the nubuck protector and waterproofing I didn’t really like the look as it was charcoal black matte. I got the Brillo Instant shoe shine cream in black color (purchased here on Amazon), I applied it over the nubuck protector 24 hours later and buffed it prior. Now they look like shiny leather and IMO they looks so much nicer! I also covered the light gray sowing tread, they look more elegant and expensive. I added pics, I wore them to do some shopping and they felt like slippers! Amazing boots.

Because I wasn’t sure if I’d like them I decided to buy the pre-owned ones at $53 and thought if I need to return them it’s not a big investment for me to try them out. But, I received a new pair without any marking and the bottom stickers still under the boots. I don’t even know why these were sold as pre-owned. As all Clarks shoes and boots I have to up 1/2 a size. The UK sizing is in cm and not inches so that is why they are a bit smaller in even numbers. I am a true 9 US and the 9.5 fits as a 9US, Ive learnt that the hard why when living in the UK! They don’t have many brands offering half sizes so I had to always get a size larger to fit in the shoes. (9USbeing a 6.5UK) Hence used to get a size 7UK (9.5US) These indicates size 6 UK in the boots so you are getting an actual 9US as it should indicate 6.5UK (not sure why they don’t fix the conversion) if it was a 9.5US. Ladies don’t worry get an half size up and you will get a perfectly fitted pair. The boots are indeed more of a charcoal color and it’s fine by me, also they have the ‘leather’ mention on the box and ads but they are nubuck. If you spray a nubuck protector on these, and it’s recommended, they will turn soft black. So far, I have only tried them on, they fit so nicely and are much lighter than I expected, not clunky as they seem on the pics. I am happy they don’t look like a mens boot! I will update after wearing them for a while but at the price I paid I cannot complain too much, my cheap Marks brand boots that lasted less than a yr was more expensive than these!!

Love these very stylish spring and fall boots. Well made. I’ve worn many Clark’s shoes and boots over the years because of the workmanship on footwear and comfort. I have narrow feet and must wear orthotics and these boots were very comfortable with my inserts.
They are not too heavy and bulky either.

I’m on my feet all day and these are comfortable to wear. I got a size 8 so I can wear thicker socks for the winter time to keep my feet warm. I also got a 7 1/2 so I can wear the thinner socks that’s not so cold.

I had to stop wearing heels because of plantar fasciitis, but. I have wide to extra-wide (2E to 4E) size 8.5 feet so it’s next to impossible to find cute boots. I’ve always loved Clarks because they’re well made, come in half sizes, and generally comfortable, and these are no exception. I bought an 8.5 wide and they have insole comfortable padding, and fit MOSTLY perfectly. My only complaint is they’re a LITTLE bit tight in the toebox for *MY* feet, which is fine for a standard day at work with my sit-stand desk, but after a long day on my feet they start to hurt a bit. Again, though, *MY* feet lean more on the EXTRA wide size, which these boots are not. So if you have standard wide feet, they might be the perfect boot for you. Either way, I still LOVE these boots: they look super cute with jeans, are flat and don’t flare up my plantar fasciitis, and are well made.
