My husband and I love this Coleman RoadTrip LX collapsible propane grill!! The adjustable burners are so amazing! This allows us to cook all sorts of food when we are family camping for days, e.g., pancakes, bacon, potatoes, veggies, meats, etc. Awesome Grill!!!

My review is limited to how this grill serves my camping needs, which I believe it will quite nicely. I read many reviews prior to purchasing a Roadtrip grill, and I took the advice of many reviewers and went with the classic LX. After receiving the grill I’m glad I did. The grill itself is light enough, lighter than I anticipated anyway, although I am a bigger guy, 6’0 260lbs. Either way, I don’t think my wife will have any trouble moving it around if she had to. The fact that the grill can be used separately from the stand is a huge plus, the other Roadtrip grills don’t have this flexibility, and the only tradeoff with the LX is that you can’t wheel it around, I don’t see myself ever longing for that feature. I have used the stand and it’s stable enough, not indestructible, but the wind will not blow this thing over and any incidental contact from a kid or your drunk uncle will be well absorbed too. If you need anymore stability set the grill on a table. I’ve used the grill twice now, burgers and steaks, and it did a fine job with both. I don’t see the aluminum grates holding up well, but I purchased the grill knowing that I’d have to get the cast iron ones eventually anyway. Cleaning out the grease pan was a piece of cake. I filled it up a bit with water prior to cooking, and after allowing the grill to cool, I picked up the pan and washed it out in the sink with dodoo and water easily. The auto ignite function worked on the first time with both burners. As far as heat control goes: I’m no professional griller, if my food taste good and my steak is medium rare In a happy guy, and this grill did the job with an extra thick T-bone. If you’re looking for a camping grill you won’t be disappointed.

A decent grill for infrequent backyard duty. Has enough heat to do a decent cook. The detents on the gas knobs are not well-placed relative to the markings on the control panel, and the detents themselves vary by knob and in depth of detent. You need to get used to them by usage. All in all, a pretty decent grill. Recommended.

Well this is the second coleman roadtrip i bought and had to return. This grill is more expensive than the other products i have been looking at. The box did not seem damaged and the grill cover was not dented so it made me believe this is just very cheaply made with poor quality control. The hinges on the lid were uneven and the lid was crooked. The lid locking latch was so off i could not even close the hood all the way. The gas dispersing cover for the stove was loose and the projection weld broke so when i tried to light the second burner it would not ignite properly almost causing an explosion. On top of closing the legs for the first time cut my finger pretty bad. I have returned this and realized you dont always get what you pay for. I purchased this as a first time rv owner and will be going with a different brand. I really loved the idea of the swap tops and bought two griddle plates that will be returned also. The griddle plate this one came with is aluminum and seems very cheap. Overall i had high hopes and now just disappointed.

This is our second purchase of this grill… the first one lasted for 20 years…so happy with this grill – it’s great for every day use… for camping and for taking to the beach. Best grill. LOVE IT!

I have been camping since I was a child and after getting married and moving into a small studio apartment I was looking for something that could be used as my camp stove but also grill stuff at home.
THIS THING IS A GOD SENT. The power of the burner’s is TOP NOTCH, propane life is ridiculously good. it roughly takes me a month to use up a 16.4 can and that is with maybe 2 (3 day camping trips) and a few days a week use. Again I atleast grill 3 days a week and then normally all weekend. heck I did 4 ears of corn, 4 rib eyes and 2 crap cakes last night.
the griddle works GREAT, makes bacon easy and does not smoke up the house, the grill grate works great for burgers, steaks, short ribs. personally love the ability to use the griddle for bell peppers and onions while grilling burger or brats on the grate. cleaning is simple. I normally clean it once a week. pull the griddle and grate out and heat the BBQ up. turn the bbq off and then clean out the drip pan, makes it super easy! spray alittle simple green and fire her back up… once everything has burned off, grates go back in and you are done… probably 20 minutes max.
the stand is sturdy and the side shelves support decent weight. the whole thing folds up and fits in my jeep wrangler nicely when overlanding.

One of the few grills that I could find that would fold up enough to fit in our RV storage compartment. Other models with the wheels do not fold up tightly enough. I was also able to find quick connect option to utilize our RV’s quick connect line. I like the interchangeable grill/griddle/stove top options depending on what I want to cook. Unfortunately after purchase, it appears that Coleman no longer makes this model. Seems like this should last for a long time.
