The description of this range hood is incomplete, sometimes incorrect and sometimes misleading.
— According to the Amazon description, the grease filters are “dishwasher safe.” However, the user manual states that the “Grease filters may be washed using mild soap or a detergent”. I called Customer Service and they confirmed that the filters should NOT be cleaned in a dishwasher.
— If you’re ordering this as a replacement for a unit that exhausts to the outside, confirm in advance that your existing hood uses a circular vent on the top of the unit. If your existing hood uses a rectangular vent opening on the rear of the unit, you’ll need to purchase a rectangular “check valve”, to the tune of $11.95 plus $12.00 shipping.
— If you are opting to use the hood in “recirculation mode”, be aware that you’ll need to purchase a $19 charcoal filter before you can start using the unit, and you’ll need to spend another $19 to replace the filter every three months thereafter.
— If your existing unit is hard-wired electrically, you’ll need to have an electrical outlet installed to accommodate the unit’s electrical plug, possibly requiring the services of an electrician.
Bottom line: unless your existing hood vents to the outside from the top and plugs into an existing electrical outlet, you will incur additional expenses and you won’t be able to get the hood up and running right out of the box.
(Note: My rating is based on the above issues — not on the hood’s performance, which I won’t be able to evaluate until the rectangular “check valve” arrives)

This fan looks and functions great with my new kitchen cabinets. It’s a easy install and easy cleaning up if it needs it. Would say if the fans on high it’s a little on the louder size but quality normally is, I love it well worth the investment.

It doesn’t flow much air in it’s ductless setup. Not sure how much air it would flow with a ducted setup. And that wouldn’t be a huge issue if it wasn’t so loud! But it is very loud AND hardly able to catch any actual cooking smoke.

I bought the 2-speed originally: This fan looked perfect for our space. I hooked it all up and it was working fine for about a week, but when we were in the middle of cooking a large meal – frying foods, using all burners and oven at once – the fan suddenly stopped.
I disassembled and reassembled everything to see if I could identify any issues, but I didn’t see anything obviously wrong. The light was working, the fan would spin freely by hand, but the motor didn’t turn or make any noise after that and had to return. I had thrown away the original box and because it’s so large it was like $25 to buy a box from ups on the return.
then bought the 3-speed. this one comes with a plug for power, and I didn’t feel like ripping it apart to get into the power cables in the wall from the previous fans so now it’s awkwardly plugged in nearby… the light is so dim it’s basically useless and the 3 speed fan hardly pulls any air. Overall would not recommend either of these products. they look nice, but functionally are very flawed.

Install was easy fit was perfect. Wiring was easy. It does come with a 112v wall plug but I hardwired mine. Fan is very strong. Light is nice and bright. Perfect for a kitchen upgrade

Love the stainless steel construction and the push button controls for the three speed fan and the light. The first unit got was damaged and the replacement was here in about 3 days. The thing i do not like is the LED lights do not light the cooktop. When turned on they are more like a dim night light for the kitchen. There is 5 LED lights all together that should light the cooktop like the sun was shining on it. Very good instructions for mounting and the paper printouts can be put exactly where the unit is to be mounted and all holes marked in exactly the right place so mounting is EASY

This vent can be used as duct or ductless. I used it as ductless because that was how my old one was installed. Installation was very simple because it came with two sheets of graphic illustrate where the holes should be drilled. That graphic sheet was extremely helpful, I didn’t have to use ruler and I simply drill the hole base on the graphics paper provided. However I suggest to view a simple YouTube video regarding installing this product. It only took me 10 minutes to put everything together after viewing this video on YouTube.
Suction power is good. It came with 3 setting and each settings become louder and louder. It suct out good amount of smoke when cooking. I can tell a big difference in comparison to my old me. It’s very easy to clean after each use without accumulate so much grease in it. I try to dishwash my filter every week to keep filter clean and long lasting. Overall good value for the money.

We have updated our kitchen including placing a new range hood. We ordered this in silver and looks great. Easy to install. Be sure to measure twice so that you only have to order once. We did have to return the first one because when we received the first range hood, it was dinged up. Can’t say if this was because of delivery or if this was a returned item. No matter. We returned the first one, and the seller sent a new one in its place. The second one was pristine and works great.
