This lyre has an extended length. Most are just few inches putting the music so close that reading the music becomes difficult as one ages. Yes, there are still those who may periodically participate in Matching Band. They call us “Crusties”. The longer length is a welcome feature.

Great product; however, one problem was that the post at the end of the lyre was too small for my pin holder on my Intermediate Yamaha Alto Sax that was made in the mid 90’s. I had to put a small layer of masking tape around the bottom so the pin would hold the post in place.
