As of the moment of writing this review I was playing games when all of a sudden I smelled a burning like burnt plastic smell, turns out my psu was burning somehow! Then I heard sparking sounds and my pc shut off. It did last a little but be very careful if you buy this product as it literally can go in flames for no reason.

Good product

Good power supply so far, I got it on sale for cheaper than I believe a 550-watt so went ahead and got more power. It was easy to install, was a bit janky in my case but that’s just because I’m a little bit slow lol. My only complaint is, whenever the fan comes on (atleast with mine) it does make a loud motor noise, which at first scared me but I now realize what it is. Only complaint. Very good psu so far especially if you can get it on sale like I did, would recommend.

As expected CoolerMaster fullfiling my expectations, great quality and almost 0 sound noise. It{s been almost a year since I bough it and it still working and looking like new.

The very reason I bought this PSU was because of the Gamers Nexus review that found it half decent and I can confirm it indeed is a decent cheap power supply.

Great for the money, if I were to buy it again, I’d opt for the high voltage model. Rewiring a PC after upgrades is a huge pain, and I should have opted for the more head room. But overall great option if you have a more entry-level build with a low TDP rating. Build quality was good, no reason it shouldn’t last you.

Plenty of power, good efficiency, build quality is fantastic.
Looks very sleek in the case, and the cables are all black. Semi-modular is perfect. Running an RX580 GPU, 2700X Ryzen 7 CPU, and ASUS ROG Hero Crosshair VII mobo, no issues.
Very quiet, haven’t heard the fan yet, even under moderate gaming loads.
Also, the major differences between power supplies boil down to this…and these specs can be hard to find:
1) Built-in over temp, over current, over voltage, under voltage, short circuit, etc….many power supplies skimp on these and you risk frying your mobo or CPU if/when the PSU malfunctions (read about it, happens more often than mfrs care to admit)
2) Quality of electronic components and design….look for reviews that mention “coil whine” and avoid those unless you are deaf to frequencies above 10kHz
3) Quality/type of cooling fan (noise, reliability)
4) Rated efficiency
5) Warranty
6) Cable management/modularity
…and of course, cost.
This PSU has all the protection features, a decent fan, a decent warranty, a decent fan, is quiet (large fan with a thermal control circuit…fan is actually OFF when under lighter loads…fan blades are designed to minimize noise), is 80+ rated for efficiency (close to 90% in fact), and the semi-modular cables do the job.
I shopped around for quite a bit, this particular series of power supplies hits the sweet spot for me for features and quality, vs. value.

I got a new system (Lenovo Legion T5), but also a new graphics card (RTX 4060 Ti) that required a little more power. With help from a YouTube video as it’s been a while since I’ve tackled hardware and it’s always better to double-check, I was able to swap out this supply in about 10 minutes. It powers my graphics card, a DJ controller, a game pad, and my various USB devices just fine. Even when I’m gaming, I haven’t heard a peep out of the new box, noise-wise, and it’s about a foot from my head. I’ve never swapped out a power supply before. I’ve never specifically needed more wattage. I usually buy a new case with the power supply already in-place. So I don’t really have much of a comparison to offer with other supplies or ease of installation as compared to other units. All I know is this product met my needs and exceeded my expectations, both for ease of installation and performance.

Set this up in my main rig for light gaming and regular usage. Very quiet when in regular usage due to the “silent fan less” feature when the load is low. It does have a slightly noticeable kick in sound but not super loud.

EDIT NOV 2022:
Its still running! 24hr/365days full time security system w/9 cameras; 2 cctv & 7 wifi/ip type, all showing on two displays cloned (separate rooms) as a 9 camera grid. Still an early generation i5 cpu, 12gig memory, OS drive is 250gb SSD, plus two other conventional drives, and a bigger case, many 140mm fans, and two cctv to usb converters, bluetooth dongles and wifi input devices. all powered by this PSU!
Still winning. 😉
Original:
Mine is installed in a PC that runs a home security system w/9 cams, wifi & cctv, and has been silent and quietly running for over 2-1/2 years… and it died. Woke one day it was off. Troubleshooting showed PSU at fault. Verified with known working psu and with the test psu the computer fired right up.
Did the process with cooler master and had to pay shipping to them, but once they verified the unit they sent me a brand new replacement. It took a few weeks, but at least they replaced it and i didnt have to shell out for another.
On my Win-10 PC it seems more than capable, not sure why it died though?? I have a dust filter on my case where the psu draws its cooling air and it usually has minimal dust build-up. So i dont believe I’m getting above the Fans power-on threshold? Seems im not taxing the pc and psu too much. Otherwise the fan filter would have much more dust buildup, right? I think this is a good company, and though it took a bit, they absolutely honored the warranty! Bravo CoolerMaster!
I have it in powering an early i5 CPU, 12gb memory, geforce gtx 750 w/2Gb mem, showing on three HD displays, one @ 4K, two @1080. Three hdd’s; os drive is a Samsung 850 Pro SS Hdd, also a WD 1Tb blue hdd, 4Tb WD Purple.
OS is on the SSD, and all storage goes to the WD 4Tb Purple, the 3rd WD drive, wd blue, is where Win 10 was before i upgraded to the SSD for the OS and apps/software. So i left it in there for alternate storage.
This power supply has been running fine since install, but if after another 2.5 years it quits again then i might need a better model, but it might still be from this company since they just sent this brand new replacement!
