I do both audio engineering and 3D work, so I needed a case that could be quiet when I was recording and cool when I was rendering. This case has been perfect. First, it’s made from quality steel, every plate and component feeling tough and well made. Then it’s got so many terrific options. The front panel can be opened wide to allow unrestricted airflow or closed for silent work. The noise level drops significantly when the panel is closed due to the sound absorbing padding built into the door. Also, the door is reversible; I reversed mine as soon as it arrived. It’s not a super easy process to do, so it’s not something you’d want to do multiple times, but it’s easy to enough to get done. And it’s worked perfectly since I reversed the panel.

Further, the top of the case has an opening that can be filled with a magnetically placed sound-baffled panel for quiet work or a dust filter more cooling. I’m currently keeping the panel in and while components do get warm, they never get dangerously warm. The two built-in fans that come with the case are silent at 500 rpm but push plenty of air at 1500. When I’m rendering something, I can set the fans to full-speed and let it go, and the components never overheat. Of course, it’s noisy at that point, but audio editing never gets that demanding on the components.

Finally, the top panel is super useful. The built-in USB ports are USB 3.2 Gen 1, so they take full advantage of my USB thumbdrives. The built-in SD card reader is USB 2.0, so it’s slower than it should be, but just having it there is super useful without having to get an extra component for my desktop. The lights are very discrete. The power is indicated by a single dim light on the top of the case and the reset button is combined with the drive access light. Also, the headphone jack works perfectly and is very sturdy. I actually had an accident where I yanked on the headphone cable while it was plugged in, bending the plug of my headphones hard. Despite ruining the headphone cable, the plug in the case was unharmed and still works perfectly. This box is TOUGH.

It’s not pretty. On my desk it looks like a big black tomb. My CPU cooler is programmed to change to red when it’s getting warm, and I am able to see the light from the cooler against the inside of the case through the front filter, so I usually leave the door open so I can peek in. But it is hard to see in a fully-lit room. I will likely try to add an RGB strip at some point to make watching that color change easier. But this box is just what I needed. It’s versatile and practical, can be silent when it needs to be and allow airflow when required. Also it comes complete with all the screws and risers and every part you need. It has a lot of versatility in that you can reposition the drive chassis and remove the 5.25″ drive bay to add more fans. I’ve removed both just to open up the air flow. And I had no trouble running cables behind the plate for easy cable management. Really happy I found this perfect AV computer case.

Great case. Solid. Classy look. Has plenty of space inside with clever cable management. The 2 x 120 mm fans make a slight hissing sound but you can’t hear them past 2-3 feet so I kept them. Components installed (all from Amazon): ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi, AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, Noctua NH-U12S, Samsung 980 Series SSD, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB. Also reused a Corsair HX 520 full size ATX power supply. This build is very quiet, almost silent.

    K. So, it’s perfect in all respects minus the following:

The normal side of the UPS/HDD shroud needs to open or something. GL flipping the internal ECO switch on a UPS without that. Or other stuff you may have tucked under there.

You may be able to fit 140s in the front, but you’re not gonna get any more airflow because while you have the mount holes, the opening is the same size. Myyyybe a slight bit difference, but… just consider those 120s unless you already have 140s.

The screen cover for the top really needs to work together with the solid cover. It’s one or the other. Now mine’s blowing out so I just put the screen aside, but I’d like to be able to have that magnet screen and still have the top cover.

The bottom screen is clearly an afterthought. It’s just a loose screen. Kind of a joke, but better than nothing I suppose.

Finally, “Silent” case is a unicorn. I didn’t know, I wanted to believe, I know better now.

All that said, this case is gorgeous to look at. The cable management is good. Lots of drive mountings, with expandable front port – rare these days, especially in a micro tower. It was fine to work in considering the tight space of the form factor. I didn’t get left thinking “who designed it this way and why would they do that” at any point as far as mounting and cabling.

I did have some trouble with the HDD cage having the extra brackets for a 3rd HDD. Kinda tough to remove if your cables drape below the shroud at all, because it catches. And with a 3rd drive it would be tough. I thought the extra option of a 3rd would be nice for possible random need to expand, but realistically it’s too tight. But, some tin snips could take care of that, though i managed without any such modifications and it’s not a design problem, just a byproduct.

Great case. Built well, sturdy, pleasant to look at, and one of the few ones of this caliber without clear sides and with expansion on the front and nearly every option you could want. And, there arent any sharp corners or anything but you should still take off your smartwatch 😉

I bought this case for a custom build, at the request of some family members. Because they take a lot of pictures, it was important for them to have a built in memory card reader, and this is, incredibly, one of the only cases you can buy that has one.

Fortunately, the rest of the case is well built. I had no issues fitting in my components, and there was plenty of space for extra drives and a big video card. It’s very clean and has a subdued quality, which is exactly what I was looking for.

A couple nitpicks though, that keep me from giving it five stars. First, the aforementioned memory card reader is still stuck on USB 2.0. I would have liked at least a 3.0 interface. Second, the front door panel swings open to almost exactly 90 degrees, and no further. I would have liked to see it able to swing all the way open, both for convenience and because as it is, it feels like one bad push will break it.

Overall though, a solid case. I would definitely consider it for future builds.
