These snips are made well and work nice.
The handle is made to fit in your hand better. My husband really liked the handle grip on these snips better than his other pairs. The handle grip on this Craftsman is better contoured for your hand. The slot the index finger sits in is raised on either side of the index. This helps keep the index finger from sliding upwards when cutting. The other side of the handle (where the thumb rests) is also built up more than our other pairs as well. These are definitely more grippy & comfortable to use. My husband is a lefty and he had no problems using these snips.
These snips seem to cut well, of course they’re still fairly new. They make a nice clean cut. The locking mechanism is easy to engage/disengage with the same hand that’s cutting.
Overall these snips are made well and cut nicely. The grip is fantastic.

I had never heard of aviation shears, but as I seldom work with sheet metal, this is not surprising.
These are impressive. There is not much that they will not cut through.
There is a latch to hold this closed, you can release that by squeezing the handle, which is a very nice touch.
the blade has measurements on it so you can see exactly how much you are cutting. The handles are strong and firm with comfortable grips making it easy to use them for a long time.
An excellent tool, and even if you do not work with sheet metal, you will find many uses for such a strong cutting device.

Definitely the best aviation tin snips Iβve used! The leverage makes cutting things a breeze, especially since the item doesnβt tend to twist as much. It certainly makes straight cutting a delight instead of a daunting task or impossibility as with other snips. I highly recommend them. Sturdy, easy to handle, and cuts like a hot knife through butter (or rawhide treats for my four-legged companion)! Oh, and the warranty is pretty sweet too!
And just for reference, Iβm a petite female with small hands.

These Craftsman snips are very rugged and balanced and keep your hand well away from the cutting edge. There is a measuring ruler on one blade allowing you to make a small cut of a precise length. Much safer than the old snips in our toolbox.

I normally use Wiss snips and decided to try these out for the new grips. I work in sheet metal and these snips are horrible. The serrated blades leave visible marks in the metal. They donβt cut smooth at all.

These are great sharp snips. I used these to cut some trim for my roof and it cut through the foil like butter. I used it in my right hand, and it felt ergonomically designed, and I was able to make all my cuts with precision. It was sharp, easy to use and hold, and did the job.
The handle feels sturdy, and the cutting action is smooth. It doesn’t feel very light, but is not bulky feeling either. It feels well made, and I liked it. It did the job, and no complaints.

The grip on these is awesome, but you don’t get a super clean cut with them as you might using another brand. They don’t mangle the metal or anything like that. You just get lines occasionally, something I don’t get with one of my other pairs of snips. But the comfort of the grips is hard to beat on these. Much easier to cut with!
