The cylinder stop tab wore out after about a year, resulting in the gun firing out of time. This in turn caused BBs at full velocity to impact the presumably cast zinc barrel, deforming the sealing surface substantially. I was able to fix this by building the tab back up with cotton fibers and epoxy, and twenty minutes of precise filing on the back of the barrel sealing surface. It’s working fine again now.

Be aware that Crosman does not provide parts for this should you need to service it. In fact, they do not provide the part diagram, which they require you to reference to order parts.

If you are a casual user or are buying it to shoot squirrels off of your bird feeder, I’m sure it’s sufficient, but if you are a hobbyist, a daily shooting enthusiast, I cannot in good conscience recommend it, unless you have the skills and tools to do your own repairs.

In fact, for enthusiasts, I would not recommend Crosman at all.

Weight and looks very impressive. Works and shoots great. But trigger pull is way to strong with hammer pulled back, makes it hard to make accurate shots

I was looking for an at-home trainer for my 4” Ruger Security Six. This is a bit shorter in the barrel, but fits the holster. Works well for working out how to get it clear and on point. If you screw up and shoot yourself, it will be a lesson but not a life lesson.
The SNR357 has very similar dimensions and grip size to several real steel magnum pistols. It is about half a pound lighter than the real steel magnum, but then it’s not a firearm.
The pellet cartridges are interchangeable with the Crosman Remington single action revolver. The BB cartridges are front loading like the Dan Wesson pistols. Again the Crosman Remington BB cartridges are compatible and rear loading. Not a big deal with the 7.5 inch barrel on the Remington, but when you have a 2.5 inch smooth bore barrel, the extra two inches in the cartridges can help just a little bit.
The grips are plastic and the rear part that slides open runs in two tracks with small tabs top and bottom. I recommend taking a little extra time and feeling out how it works. If you man-handle it you will break it. It’s a little fragile and fiddly but once you get it it’s easy and they feel nice.
Start by pulling back gently right behind the cylinder latch about half an inch (12.5 mm). Then gently pull the bottom out and the whole thing will slide backwards. It will then pivot upward out of the way when you insert the co2 bulb and are turning the piercing key. Note where the bottom track is and line the bottom tabs up with the track. When both top and bottom are lined up with the tracks, gently squeeze the back part of the grip forward and closed.
I painted the front sight red and put white dots on either side of the rear notch. This is easy to pick up with my old eyes in lower light settings.
Accuracy is about what you might expect with a 2.5” smooth bore barrel. Pellets are slightly more accurate. They fit the 4.5 mm tube closely. Steel BBs are more like 4.4 mm and rattle around a bit.
All in all, I am happy with the purchase, and recommend it for point and shoot training. I find the technique takes quite a bit of practice to train your brain to judge the angle of your wrist. Your grip must be absolutely consistent. Using an airgun is about a tenth of the cost of shooting powder and BBs are about ten dollars a million. Once I got it worked out, about 10,000 rounds for good consistency and muscle control, I practiced at the range with my real steel piece to prove it to myself. I wasn’t surprised by the added recoil and noise, by the time that happens you are done shooting. You have done all the good or harm you are able to do.
The air gun is, in my opinion and experience valuable trigger time whenever I get 30 minutes to go to the garage and shoot 100 rounds. Three or four times a week adds up. Just like learning a musical instrument.

My son wanted this so I got it for him and omg it’s the best thing ever!! It’s a awsome gun! Takes co2 cartridges and pellets and BBs. The bbs go in the tips of six bullets and there’s 6 other bullets for pellets and they go in the bottom of them ones. You load the bullets with either the pellets or bbs like you would a real gun. It really is an awesome gun. I love it just as much as my son. Great for practice and learning to shoot for beginners and learning for safety of gun. The weight feels just like a real gun too. Looks real because there’s no orange for the tip either so be careful!

This thing is heavy! its solid! Very cool and easy to change the co2. Very cool and everyone that sees it, wants it! Careful tho, it is very realistic. comes with 2 sets of bullets, 1 for pellets and 1 for bbs. Very accurate and packs a punch!

This is the best CO2 pistol I have ever used! I love everything about it! I have several CO2 pistols and have tried and returned so many because of how bad most of them usually are. But this one is just the best out there!
    What I love about it:
-Feels and shoots amazingly, when you pull the trigger you immediately can tell the bbs/pellets are shot with lots of power!
-The accuracy is unbelievable for an airgun and it doesnt even drain too much CO2 (as many other pistols do)
-No need for a separate allen wrench to load the CO2 cartridge, this one has a built in “butterfly” nut.
    -Adjustable rear sight
-Has both single and double action
    -Built materials
    -Realistic shells
-There are no middle seams all around the pistol except the handle and the hammer (many other guns do)
    what I didnt like:

-I would have liked to see a recessed .177 barrel tip

Es bonito. Es divertido. Pero es muy muy impreciso. Sólo sirve para disparar a blancos de gran tamaño como latas. No sirve para disparar a una diana.
