I got medium nib fountain pen. It is probably the best fountain that I owned. Nice wet and smooth nib, surprisingly. First cross pen I had. Compared with other high end pens, this pen preform amazingly well. I use it every day. The only problem that it does not having in box converter and you have to buy one. If you like thicker larger pens you might not like this one cause it is very thin. However it deserves to be tried, well built.

Iโve been an avid Cross pen user for over 30 years. I have 5 different Cross pens that I use and keep a few on hand to use for gifts. The Lacquer/Rhodium Blue Century II Pen looked so great that I added it to my collection.
All the Cross pens I have used are Century pens โ the classic Cross look. If you are used to the Century pens, please note that the Century II pens are slightly different. The Century II is about .4 oz heavier than the Century, slightly wider and almost ยผโ taller. So it has a heavier feel. The Century II feels larger, bolder but it is still un-mistakenly a Cross pen.
The Blue Lacquer is a deep blue and when the sunlight hits it, the pen has a bright, neon glow. The pen comes in a rather large gift box. The box measures 7.25โ X 4.125โ X 2.375โ. The box is attractive, well designed to make a good impression. There is a nice booklet that tells the history of Cross Pens.
All trim is rhodium โ the chrome look gives a nice contrast to the blue lacquer.
The pen comes with the Cross black ink refill. Refills are available in blue or red.
I like the Cross pen because of the look, feel and quality of writing. Like all Cross pens, this one comes with a lifetime warranty on the mechanical parts. Iโve had two occasions over the past thirty years when I had a mechanical failure and both times the pens was repaired quickly under the terms of their warranty.
This is a high-quality writing instrument. While digital has certainly replaced a lot of writing activities, I still carry a pen with me all the time. I love the look, feel and reliability of a Cross pen. I believe carrying a Cross pen conveys a favorable message about the owner.

This is one of the most comfortable pens I’ve had to hold – I have relatively small hands and the bulky pens just make things more difficult; as I also write small, the bigger nibs (0.7 as opposed to 0.5) make my handwriting look like there are globs all through. I much prefer the fine points for these reasons.

Well balanced when cap is in place, writes cleanly and feels comfortable in my small hand

Out of all the pens I have ever used, this is my favorite. The size and feel are perfect for me. The flow and appearance of the ink is awesome. The only thing you have to be careful about is it takes a little bit of time for the ink to dry. It doesnโt take long but if you touch the ink too soon it will smear. A small price to pay for such a great writing pen.

The heft, quality, luxurious feel and appearance of this pen would impress even the most discriminating executive. It writes smoothly with the perfect flow of ink. Definitely gift worthy.

I’m not a pen collector or an expert on pens, but this pen feels and writes well. I’ve used Cross in the past, and liked the way they write, but I wanted something with a bit more weight and thickness than some of their traditional pens – this one fits perfectly! It’s not overly fancy – I would best describe it as handsome. The pen rotates well and doesn’t push itself back inside the barrel when I write. I’m glad I made this purchase.

The pen held up well to the Cross standard, however, it was sent with a cartridge that went dry within the first hour. Disappointed but found no avenue for redress.
