Because This only had several reviews. BUT! I had ordered 2x 2280 4 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD from this company based on the hundreds of reviewers giving it top ratings and so far they work flawlessly. So I cancelled the highly rated SABRENT Rocket 2230 NVMe 4.0 1TB High Performance PCIe 4.0 M.2 2230 SSD [SB-2130-1TB] and bought these 2230’s instead. This review is only one week after install but they work as expected. Since I have a Alien m18r2 I ordered Dells heatsink to pair up with these 2x 2230 ssd’s that I ordered. Everything went well and is working well. If these fail u will certainly hear about it in a update. Lol 😆

Used with Zitay CF Ssd adapter on Leica SL3. Works perfectly

Works great in steamdeck. Even seems a little faster than the stock nvme

I have always hated getting a laptop to find out it only took a 2230 form factor sad. You couldn’t find one that could hit gen4 speeds or really even close to it. Well, Crucial has done it. This tiny little drive is hitting read speeds right around 7000mbps and write times around 6200mbps. That is amazing for a 2230 drive and blows the competition out of the water. I’ve never even had another 2230 sad that could hit 5500mbps read times and the write times were….well atrocious! Crucial seems to be the only sad manufacturer that can make a 2230 sad that is capable of hitting gen4 speeds.
EDIT: I attached a screenshot of the speeds I’m getting with this new 2230 nvme. For reference, I’m using the new Asus Proart PX13 with the Ryzen AI 9 HX370. It only accepts a 2230 nvme as there is no room to put any other size. I knew ahead of time it only accepted the 2230 nvme but made the purchase anyway. I was leary because I knew 2230 nvme’s have never been able to reach gen 4 speeds. Right after I ordered this laptop I seen where Crucial had made this new 2230 nvme that supposedly reached very close to the speeds I get on my other laptop with the Samsung 990 pro in it. I was skeptical but took the chance and Crucial has actually made a tiny nvme that can reach gen 4 speeds. I’m not being paid by Crucial to make this review(although I wouldn’t turn it down if they did)(wink wink #Crucial). Seriously though, how has Crucial been able to concur this and all these other brands barely hit 5000mb’s read and 4200mb’s write times? If you have a device that only accepts a 2230 nvme you need to be dumping those other brands and get this one. Now, only if they could make one in this size that could hold 4tb’s that would be perfect.

Memory works good, fast but short 21GB from a quoted TB
Can’t use Offline Copy Drive due to smaller size memory as a target memory from 1TB source memory in offline Copy drive.

Plugged it right into my Steam deck and have had no issues. 1.8TB immediately available after reinstalling OS by thumb drive. Very fast, stores the majority of my steam library.

Easy install holds a vast amount of data. Will update when it breaks down which is what I’ve heard about this type of storage. It should last 10 years easily.

This is a Windows 11 capped speed, im good with this.
Crucial will stand behind their products, i sent a stick of memory back after 4 years and had a replacement
in the mail in under 3 weeks.
Enjoy your new drives

My first non-MS SSD that works great with Surface Pro 7 Plus…! No random reboots, BSODs and works fine on battery, and wake up with no issues…! I am getting 6500 mb/s Read and 4800 mb/s Read which is fine. My previous WD SN740 didn’t match the hardware!

I received a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid state drive (SSD). This drive is made by Crucial, a company that has a long history of making quality memory chip products for computers and other electronics. I have owned many of their products over the years, and have been quite pleased with them. This SSD is a 2230 sized SSD, making it quite compact, and suitable for many small devices such a game systems and small computers. This drive is also quite up to date, being Gen 4 and supporting up to 7.1 GB/s data transfer rates. I recently acquired a raspberry pi 5 which can use an SSD as a boot device, and the HAT I will be using takes this shorter form factor of SSD, and I look forward to replacing the SD card with this drive. I tested this drive in an external enclosure that supports data transfer rates up to about 1 GB/sec, and found that it had no problems reaching this speed. Overall, a great SSD drive from a reputable company.
