I finally made room to get the bike up on the wall in the garage. I have cinderblock walls so it was easy to find a solid way to secure the hook using a hammer drill and tapcons. I really like the way the hook can swing so i can get the bike more snuggly to the wall instead of sticking straight out on the walk path. It is very strong and very secure. The second pieces that the back tire sits in is also a great anchor point to keep the bike in place. This is a high quality bike storage accessory. Well made, perfect function.

Overall this is a great product and I would happily buy again. Only thing I think that could be improved upon is the wheel “hook” which is chubby and can be fiddly to get through higher spoke count wheels. If the hook portion were a little thinner it would be an even better product.

I bought the set of 2 and installed one easily when I was on a stud in the wall but the other was not in the stud and the hardware that comes with the set is garbage… the mount started to fall off of the wall when the bike was on. I luckily had some very heavy duty anchors for mounting without a stud and got the job done. I give the product 5 stars but hardware 2 stars at best.

Storing bikes is a pain. They’re awkward, large metal frames that take up a lot of space and are generally difficult to maneuver around when not in use. These mounts were more expensive than I would have liked, but I hadn’t found anything else that functioned the way I wanted it to – they get my bikes off the ground in a way that keeps them mostly out of the way, while still easy to get down. Don’t get me wrong, your bike will still take up a good chunk of real estate on your wall, but these are very sturdy and I like the flexibility of putting the bike at an angle. I’ve put two bikes next to my car in the garage, and I no longer have to move my bikes out of the way any time I want to access the rest of the junk…. I mean, supper useful things that are elsewhere in the garage.

I chose this rack over a slightly cheaper model that had rubber coated j-shaped hooks to hold the bike wheels. I wanted to mount my bikes as high as possible on the wall for access to items under them. The type of coated hook these racks have make it easier to put a bike wheel over them and pull back off, and the thicker rubber sleeve over the hook looked more secure and sturdy, and better for not damaging the wheel.
The construction is very good. A button on the bottom allows you to keep the rack locked in the center position, or by pushing the button, rotating the rack to a fixed position angled to the right or left. This is good because it does not move or rotate when you’re trying to hook your bike’s wheel onto the rack.
The screws provided are probably plenty large, but to make it easier to install, I used regular lag bolts so that I could use a ratchet wrench to tighten them rather than a screwdriver.
Looking at some of the one-star reviews that say “the screws pulled out of the drywall and my bike fell” make me shudder to think that anyone who would try to mount this to hollow drywall and then hang a bike on it even owns a screwdriver or tries to use it.
