The quality of this tool is good enough for my at home use. So far I have used it on 5 shut off valve compression rings and did not have any issues. It catches the nut and screws on easily. Then it takes lots of turns to slide the ring off but did not require any real force to do so.
I chose this one over the others on Amazon due to the handle being able to move back and forth so it can get into tight spaces without having to worry about the handle getting in the way. Especially helpful when you have a toilet shut off valve coming up from the floor next to the wall and pipes in the way under the sink. I can’t speak about longevity yet but if you clean it off after use it should last a really long time.
