bumper –
This is a fairly decent battery operated leaf blower. It comes with TWO (2) batteries, charger and shoulder strap. Super easy to assemble and batteries had a bit of a charge already on them so was able to test it out right away. The charger does charge quickly, only about 1-2 hours I found. It has a good airflow (300 CFM to 650 CFM) and on Turbo it is probably the equivalent to my name brand blower I have. But even on normal air flow it is enough to push leaves out of the way. Cruise control is nice to have, not sure I will use. Its light weight makes it easy to handle and use for long periods of time without fatigue. Shoulder strap is nice to have and can use it to hang to store. Button on battery will display battery charge, just push once and it shuts off after a few seconds. Speed lock dial is nice to have as well. Included ear muffs are better than nothing but not the most comfortable. A good deal.

I already have a gas powered backpack blower and a handheld battery blower. I got this so my two sons can help with the leaves. I’ll use the backpack blower and they’ll use the battery blowers.
So, I’m comparing this Decerk unit to an EGO LB6150 battery blower rated at 615 cfm. I won’t compare it to the backpack blower because it’s not only gas but it’s a whole different class of blower.
On a feature basis the Decerk unit compares well:
– They are of a similar size, shape, and weight. The Decerk has a slightly shorter exhaust tube, which makes it a little easier to use in tight spaces.
– They both have a trigger control and a turbo button.
– They both have a speed dial which you can use to set a constant blower speed and not have to hold the trigger button.
– They both include a mount for a shoulder strap but the Decerk includes a shoulder strap. You have to buy the strap separately for the EGO.
– The Decerk includes two 21V, 4AH batteries, and a charger. You have to buy batteries separately for the EGO, although there may be a combo kit available with one battery and charger.
– The Decerk includes ear protection but honestly, it’s not very good.
– The material quality on the EGO is better. Not that the Decerk is bad, it seems plenty sturdy, but it’s not as thick as the EGO. Over the long haul I think the EGO will hold up better than the Decerk.
On price the Decerk is very good. The complete Decerk kit is about $20 less than I paid for just the blower from EGO with no batteries, no charger, and no strap. By the time you add in those items for the EGO you’re easily over twice the price of the Decerk.
For performance the EGO is simply better. The EGO, rated at 615 cfm, is definitely blowing more air than the Decerk unit which is rated at 650 cfm. You can see it, you can feel it, and you can hear it. In my included video I start with the Decerk unit and run it at full speed. You can hear when I press the turbo button. Then I switch to the EGO unit at full speed and you can hear when I switch to turbo.
I’m standing in the same spot with both blowers. You can see how the Decerk unit has moved the leaves and debris directly in front of me but has then run out of force to move the stuff further away. The EGO unit continues to move leaves and debris where the Decerk has run out. So you’re going to be moving a little more often with the Decerk unit, but maybe that’s not a bad thing in terms of exercise.
As far as battery life, the Decerk unit seems good although comparing the two isn’t really valid. The Decerk includes 21V, 4 AH batteries. My EGO unit is running 56V, 3 AH batteries. However, after about 15 minutes of use the Decerk unit still showed 4 bars on the battery so it seems like you’d have lots of runtime with two batteries.
Basically, the Decerk is a pretty impressive blower given the price. It may not be quite as powerful as a unit costing more than twice as much (once you buy batteries, charger, and strap) but it’s certainly well-made and powerful enough for light-duty work and smaller yards. I am sure it will be more than sufficient for my boys to help with the leaves.

First the cons: Just one really, the included ear protection does attenuate sound and probably to a hearing safe level, but earcups are small, not comfortable to me, and it’s cheaply made – not a plus to a purchase decision in my opinion. The listing claims 4.3 pounds weight – that is without the battery. With a battery it’s 5.9 pounds (which is about average for similar electric blowers.
Pros: Good power, well made, brushless motor, and about average in terms of performance when compared to similar blowers. This blower can use Makita power tool batteries, though the included 2 batteries will not fit in a Makita charger – they must be charged using the charger that is included with this package. The included batteries work well.
In my testing, I suspended the blower from an overhead digital scale and weighed it along with a clip I would later use to keep the trigger depressed, then zeroed the scale. Powered on high with clip keeping “Turbo” on, this has a measured thrust of 1.28 pounds. Without Turbo on it was 0.98 pounds. The blue blower I was using for comparison had a peak thrust of 1.6 pounds. In terms of blowing performance, they are similar. This “Decerk” brand blower has a better designed stronger stand (the one on the blue blower cracked in normal use).
Noise level: In “Turbo” mode I measured 86 dB and 80 dB without turbo at arm’s length from the ear. This sound level is similar to the other blower tested. Hearing protection recommended.
EcoGuy –
We have leaves, more leaves and more leaves in the fall. While we use more tools than handheld blowers to clean them up, the handheld blowers still get plenty of action.
I’ve got a 56v electric blower with multiple batteries from a competitor, similar variable “throttle”, similar wind speed, and volume of air. That battery lasts about 30 minutes. From that experience I’ll compare them.
Build quality here is more “homeowner” grade. The plastic is thinner, cheaper feeling. The charger has just a solid red or green light, so less insight into the charging progress. The switch not as ergonomic. Assembly was simple, the two black tubes snap on, make sure you have the stickers lined up if you have OCD.
The batteries for this are marked 18v with a 21v max? They are much smaller and lighter weight.
How does it blow? Surprisingly well for a 20v blower. It can hold its own for 6-8’ in front of you. After that there is just not the air moving to keep the leaves moving. The 120 minute claim, Pinocchio would be proud of that. So this will help blowing out the flower beds, clearing off the driveway saving the bigger blowers battery.
For the price (about half that of my 56v one), it performs well. If stretching your budget is key for you this is worth the look. If you want a back up, this is worth a look. If you need to move big piles of leaves this is not the one for you. I would get this blower again. N
