I ordered a refurbished unit, slightly discounted, but the unit that came leaked water at the tank connection to the coffee maker. Probably a bad rubber seal. Almost ruined our kitchen cupboards.
Probably should’ve just sent it back, but figured a replacement unit would probably have more serious issues so decided to keep it and
I ordered a new water tank for $60 and it fixed the problem and is working great now!
Makes amazing coffee. Wish I could rate it higher, but I was very annoyed that they sent me a broken unit.

We had been using a french press for years, but this was getting to be to much of a hassle and time consuming to make coffee with everything else in our lives…kids / work. Bought this amazing, life changing machine for ourselves as a x-mas gift and couldn’t be happier. Supper easy to set-up, push a couple of buttons and you have an hot, delicious cup of coffee in less than a minute! Made my first Latte today, also amazing and easy. Couldn’t be happier. It’s a little pricy, but if you break it down per use or the savings on Starbucks, it’s not that bad.
Opted for this over the Philips, which also seems great, but that model is HUGE on my counter and this one seems to have a better design. I would write more, but I need to go make a latte.

Out of the box, it was immediately clear that it was a used unit (online it was advertised as new, and I paid full price). There were water stains throughout, and coarse ground coffee residue everywhere which spilled onto my table. the plastic protectors were flaky and dirty. The water filter was already installed (used). Surrounding styrofoam packaging was cracked.
It was truly shocking and appalling to see the poor condition that it was in, and how sloppy the packaging was. It was promptly returned to Canada Post today. Extremely disappointed!

If you are fussy about the quality of your coffee, this is worth the investment. Recommend using Distilled water to protect it from mineral build up. Wish the water reservoir was bigger, otherwise I am very happy.

My significant other and I are VERY Happy with the coffee and espresso flavor. The espresso reminds use of Italy and the coffee reminds use of what the Italians would make while we were visiting Italy and asked for an americanno.
The documentation provided highlights the default coffee bean setting is for Italy (bean strength setting #3) strength/taste of coffee. Very similar to what Italy actual espresso and americanno coffee we just experienced while in Venice, Florence & Rome this past year.
The quick reference guide and instructions are simple and straight forward. We got 12 cups of coffee and 8 espresso cups before refilling the bean hopper. The water containers had to be re-filled 3 times for this number of drinks.
We LOVE the flavor of the coffee and espresso. I think the only draw back is when you have a normal American size ceramic mug you have to select coffee 2-3 times to fill your mug. But the flavor to me is WELL WORTH the patience of a great tasting coffee

I had a gaggia fully automatic espresso machine before. Loved it!!!! Until it died after 11 years. I reordered the same model and when I received it, it was USED! The paper in the box said it may have grounds in it due t testing – okay… but what about the worn button??? I was disgusted that they tried to resell a used machine and pass it off as new. Anyways, I digress. So, after returning the machine, I ordered this one. Sometimes things happen in life so you can experience better things. This is a great machine!!!! From first impressions (the packaging) I knew this was a superior product. It was not placed inside another huge box. It was a box that was slipped OVER the box of the manufacturer! No need for extra extra packaging in a gigantic box. That impressed me.
Coffee: comes out way hotter than the gaggia. Myself, I brew regular coffee in my machine, not espresso. That being said, I have yet to find the setting to brew a full cup of coffee. First world problems.
To empty the used pucks is easy to empty and it reminds you to also empty the water tray as it comes out all together. A bonus for people that forget to empty the tray and then it overflows all over the counter.
So far,2 weeks in, I am very happy with my purchase! The coffee is good and the design is AWESOME! The engineers, from the machine to the packaging, thought about everything. Now, I hope it lasts as long as my gaggia.

You definitely have to read the directions and I found YouTube videos helpful in learning all about it. I have been very happy so far with the performance of this machine. It take bit or trial and error to get your coffee the way you like it. Daily cleaning is easy. I haven’t mastered the frother yet, and please note it does not come with a frothing pitcher. You must buy it separately. I also haven’t descaled the machine so I can’t comment on that. Once you learn how to use it, it makes a great cup of coffee. I like this model because it has the ice coffee option too. I recommend this machine for people who want fresh ground coffee with nothing more than a push of a few buttons.

First unit made delicious coffee…when it worked. The main power switch would turn off by itself – it’s a toggle switch which would not stay depressed in the on position. Also, coffee leaked out of the top structure of the nozzle. Returned the unit to Delonghi, and waited over 2 weeks to receive a replacement unit! I was told that because it was around the holidays, my “order” had to “get in line” with all the others and that “it’s not in their wheelhouse” to try to expedite it at all. When I still hadn’t received a replacement unit at the two week mark, I called and was told that somehow my order got “stuck” in their system and should’ve went out the week before! They sent a pair of DIRTY cappuccino glasses to make up for it. Got the second unit, and it had its own set of issues as well. No matter the settings, the coffee tasted burnt! It was not even drinkable. AND, even though I had it on the hottest temperature setting, the coffee was hardly hot. I was surprised at all the 5-star reviews, but then after a closer look you’ll see that nearly all of them received the product for free. Hmmm…

I have had a manual espresso machine from Saeco for years and had used it on and off, as it was a bit frustrating. Not bad but I constantly struggled with making the perfect espresso with crema. It never happened for me. Not saying I wasn’t doing things wrong but it truly is an art that as an artist I have to use my talent elsewhere. Sooo, I got fed up and bought the Dinamica by DeLonghi . I did some research and decided this was the one and took a leap of faith. An amazing machine! Does everything I need it to do, including the perfect espresso with the crema! Are there fancier machines? Yes. But this one has great value for the money, works perfectly, and offers variety and selection of different types of coffees. Cleaning up is easy, water filling is easy, operation is easy. The machine basically tells you what to do and does it at the press of a button. Noise is not bad and my cats have gotten used to it. It actually looks elegant too which was also important to me. It fresh grinds every cup and adds the perfect amount that you can set up. I am actually thrilled with this machine! I’ve had it for about a month and so far so good. It’s like having a bit of Italy in your own kitchen!
