This unit is a tad heavy, but it does the job well. Very easy to load the belt and use. So much nicer than having a cord to maneuver around. This thing is well built and well worth the price. Uses 3×21 Belts

The battery life is disappointing, draining too quickly during use. The sanding power is lackluster, making it hard to achieve smooth finishes.

Works like I had hoped. It is heavier than I expected, but solid as a rock.

I have multilple 20/60 volt batteries so, when my 40+ year old corded Craftsman belt sander died, this seemed like a logical way to go. I’m glad I got it. It has lots of power, is super easy to load belts and adjust tracking and it is a pleasure to be uncorded. Any uncorded tool will get a lot more use due to the convenience. Others have truthfully noted that it uses up battery charges quickly, running for around 30-40 continuous minutes. So, it depends upon your intended use to judge if convenience versus run duration are the most important to you.
I would buy this tool again.,

I needed something lightweight and portable for taking to the job site. No plugging in or fooling with a cord. This sander is very convenient for what I do when installing cabinets and laminate countertops. I don’t need a lot of run time so the 5ah battery is sufficient. I wouldn’t use it for large surface areas because small sanders like this tend to be tippy and can cause damage if not held flat to surface. As far as the build of this sander I am satisfied. It seems well made and feels comfortable to use.

I used this to sand / level some areas of a deck substructure. It did the job very well. The alignment did move around so you need to watch it, but it is very easy to maintain with the small knob on the side of the unit. I haven’t used it on fine work yet, but I don’t see any reason for it not to perform there as well.

I had no problem with my 5 Ah battery running out for the ~ 2 hours duration (but it wasn’t running all of the time either).

I finally ordered the Dewalt belt sander when it went on sale for $239.00 , it was the lowest price i’ve seen so far on Amazon and i couldn’t hold back at that price.
For what it’s worth, i already have the whole collection of Dewalt and Porter Cable 20v tools and this was the only missing item.It retails for $369 at my local Home Depot so this purchase was a no brainer.
Not too impressed with the way the dust bag is attached but if it does it’s purpose i can live with it.
The tracking adjustment seems spot on , we’ll see if it stays like that after prolonged use, and from what i read this unit is pretty hungry for batteries , i alrady have two 5A batteries but will purchase a few more if necessary.
I’ll update my review after using this sander for a few hours.

Works good for light duty jobs. Probably use a power one if you had lots to do

Love the cordless feature, and flexibility. However, it is not as high-speed as a corded sander and very heavy. Still, it will make jobs easier, not having to run extension cords, and the cord getting away.

Its cordless design offers great freedom of movement, and the brushless motor delivers excellent power and performance. It’s efficient and easy to use, making sanding projects much smoother.
