Great automatic cutters. Very powerful and just chew through stuff. Much bigger than I was expecting though (not that I should have been surprised really, just look at the image). The size means that this is something that you take out for dedicated work, not something that’s easy to keep on hand for ad-hoc clipping (like a pair of regular pruners in the back pocket). Also not exactly light, using them for an extend period with your arm extended is pretty unpleasant. Overall happy with them though.

This tool is easy to operate. I plan to trim Crepe Myrtles and similar shrubs as well. The weight is not too heavy.
I am pleased at how quickly I am able to prune

Really handy little cutter – it can handle up to about an inch in diameter with a couple pulls of the trigger. It’s not the lightest thing in the world, but far more convenient than hauling out the big loppers to cut things up for the trash or to do detail work trimming the shrubbery. Well worth the price.

I can use this tool with little effort. Able to cut one inch branches with a little work but anything less than an inch it cuts perfectly. I could cut for several hours if only someone would pick up the branches I drop on the ground for me.

Really like the design, comfort, and sturdiness of this simple, tough tool. If you hold the limb against the fixed (back) blade, it will easily cut through the thicker wood.
Have been wary of DeWalt tools for many years because they’re made in china, which often means very poor quality. But this is a pleasant exception!

This product exceeded my expectations.
Lightweight, easy to use and very effective. I was surprised at how easily it cuts thru tree branches one inch to inch and a quarter.
Battery consumption was minimal for trimming six palm trees.
Dewalt products in my opinion, are one of the best to own.

I put it through its paces over several full-day sessions, and each time, the fresh battery provided consistent power throughout the day. The only minor drawback I observed is its size, which occasionally hinders access to smaller openings that hand shears can easily navigate. Additionally, the weight tends to become noticeable as the day progresses. However, the overall ease of use and the power it offers justify the occasional inconvenience.
Despite the size and weight concerns, the advantages of preventing constant switching between loppers and hand shears make this tool a valuable addition to my arsenal. I’m pleased with my purchase and anticipate using it annually until battery compatibility becomes an issue. I bought these for ther ease of use and save our hands. Getting older and arthritis is gettng the better of us. this is just point and clip it works so well and i already ahve all of the battereis for my power tools. It is a must have for the gardener, tree trimer and bush wacker.

I have acres of Broom ( an invasive species in the Pacific Northwest). I was a little undecided about a purchase of this loper when I first saw this item on Amazon. But, after wearing out my shoulders using large two-handled lopers on the Broom, I decided to try the De Walt hand loper.
It arrived in typical Amazon hypersonic time. The battery and charger have to be purchased separately – remember that.
The blade is sharp, the unit is not very heavy for one-handed use and has a unique safety trigger is built into the handle. It only took an hour to charge, and I went to the Broom field. The blades are removable with a supplied integral Allen key for replacement.
I could cut 1.5″ Broom stalks with ease and with two or three cuts, 2″ thick ones. The blade is quick and cuts the Broom everything- Broom, Blackberry, thistle, misc bushes- with almost no effort. The gearing is
incredible. I spent at least 1.5 hours cutting and still had the power to cut, which amazed me.
It is easy to handle, designed and built to keep fingers away from the blades, not unduly heavy and performs as described.
A great addition for any gardener or landscaper!
