Every man (and any hardcore woman) should own an angle-grinder… they should be issued when you get your drivers license. There is no end to the uses youโll find for this kind of tool.
My go-to grinder is a Hitachi that is bullet proof. It refuses to die, even though I treat it poorly and demand unreasonable things of the tool. But this is a new grinder for me… I bought it to remove grout to prepare for re-doing the mortar on the brick steps of my home. I wasnโt thrilled about using the Hitachi because it would eat the bricks alive with any slip of my inebriated hands (I always do this kind of work after a few beers… okay, I never even wake up without a few beers).
Anyway, the ability to dial down the speed makes this a more articulate grinder… perfect for grout. And it doesnโt spray dust all over the place. If they had adjustable-speed angle grinders when I bought my Hitachi, I might have gone this way instead and have only one tool. But itโs nice having a heavy-duty brute as well as an artisan tool. The variable speeds make this grinder much more useful for a variety of tasks. Itโs a great addition to any tool set.

Love love LOVE my INOX. By far my favorite tool for sanding to date. If I could afford to by 10 more I would.

This grinder is a beast, it has full power and speed the instant you turn it on and the brake stops the blade immediately when you turn it off. I have been using the paddle switch style for the last few years because the slide switch eventually breaks and holding it on is harder than a paddle switch. well the comfort of the slide switch on the big 6″ grinder is so much better ill just have it repaired or replace the entire unit for another. that paddle can kill your hand if using it all day.
EDIT: Speed control does not like dust. I do masonry and bought it to cut cultured stone but now it is my shop grinder as I do a good amount of fabrication stuff. also this thing is BRUTAL on gfi plugs and breakers. I couldn’t even use it on the track homes I was working on without a generator.

Dewalt definitely competes with matabo grinders with the quality and features.
Not to mention try getting a Matabo repaired any where in the USA.. good luck!
