Bought this to go with a tank. Works great and our turtle loves to sit under the light enjoy the heat.

I rescued an adult red eared slider that has never lived with a heat lamp before. I got the lamp because it has a timer, which would make things easier for me because I’m still learning on how to care for him. So if you’re forgetful this is a really good tool. The lamp came with a bulb. It also has a sturdy clip that I use to hang over the basking area I made for King Tut. You can also change the angle of the lamp. Cord is kind of short, but it’s no problem if the tank is right by an outlet, which mine is. My turtle absolutely loves basking under this light! He is now a very happy turtle.

We bought this not even 3 months ago. It burned through two light bulbs in a matter of 3 months…. then I thought it had burned through a 3rd light bulb when it wouldn’t come on. But I swapped out the light bulb and it turns out the lamp itself is what had burned up. Save your money. This one is closely in just light bulb replacement. And considering it didn’t even last 3 months. Best to find an alternative.

My son saved a lizard from the cat. He was tailless by the end of the save, but now he has a happy home with this wonderful UV light that works great for him. Everyday my son catches grasshoppers to feed him along with veggie scraps. Perfect fit!
