I had a lot of fun building this race car. Unlike some other motorized car building sets, this one does not come with a motor for each wheel. It comes with two motors. One, which is used to shift the front wheels left/right and another motor that powers the rear wheels. This means the car is rear wheel drive only. The instructions have you building the car without the motors first, with the instructions in the end giving you the option of building the car with the motors. The instructions were good. You just need to take your time building it and make sure you don’t skip any steps.

This kit was so well made that we had to double check that it was a DOSCOR. Are they improving? It sure seems that way! Excellent part quality, fun and easy to build, and the remote control and lighting work perfectly with no fiddling or contacting tech support. This car is FAST, too, and the battery lasts longer than you would expect! Keep it on tile or smooth concrete, though, it is not designed to tackle grass or mud. The fact that it can convert to a drone-like build is super fun too! It doesn’t actually fly, but it’s cool anyway – personally, I’d recommend building the drone first (it doesn’t use all the parts) and then taking it apart and tackling the car. A great build for the whole family!

This set was really cool and has so many awesome features. It is really good sized and great for adults. It is supposed to run but we were missing pieces to get the motor attached but it still turned out so cool.

This is a super complicated build. It comes with three bags, labeled A, B, C, and a box that I cannot read the writing on (I believe it is in Chinese). The instructions are labeled A, B, C, in one giant booklet, then they just show pictures, up to 15 on each page, with numbers. The pieces are hard to make out in the pictures, which results in having to take the car apart when you realize you used a wrong piece. There are also steps that show a piece connecting, but then you have to take apart two other pieces to snap the third into the middle. All in all, my son has worked on this for probably about 5 hours altogether, and is only on step 20, which is about 20 pieces put together. I think it will be awesome once complete, but I wish the instructions were not so cramped together/hard to make out. And I have no clue what is in the box, I’m waiting to open it until the rest is built to not mix up pieces.

This is a super cool car building project for car enthusiasts of all ages in my opinion! It does take a lot of time and patience to complete the build because the instructions are not the best if you ask me. I have worked on other similar projects, so it was actually a fun challenge for me to figure it all out lol! The quality of the pieces is very good, and I really like the features including the lights, sounds, doors that open, and the ability for it to be a remote controlled car. Overall, I loved this project and the finished product is awesome, so it receives the top five star ranking and recommendation from me for sure!

Keep in mind that this review is based purely on doing the helicopter/plane build that’s shown on the box. The pieces themselves are pretty well made. I don’t think I could tell them apart from name brand sets. But aside from that this set was incredibly frustrating to build, and it’s largely due to the extremely poor quality of the directions. First off, there are no physical instructions of you want to build the plane. You have to go to their website and view it thru there. The picture quality is pretty poor making it difficult to decipher the instructions at time. In a few cases it has you making a section, but then when it has you attach it you actually need the “mirror” that it has build later. It completely leaves out other steps, not skipping numbers mind you, just magically in one step showing pieces already on the build it never had you do. In other places it repeats instructions, but continues the step numbers so you’re left trying to figure out what’s going on. This build is a nightmare and took me the better part of 2 weeks to build. Maybe the car build is better, I don’t know, but I’m done with this set.
