Mr. J. Welch –
Brought my old epiphone Hummingbird Pro to life. Did not like them on my solid wood Guild mahogany.
TheIdiotKing –
Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo hanno un bel suono.. forse un po’ dure però le ricomprerei di sicuro
Allison –
Strings sound really good! However one of the strings (1st E) came with a defect, a like sharp ding or indentation in it. Hasnt broke yet but im sure it will soon.

I’ve been a D’Addario man for as long as I can remember, but after letting these strings break in for about a week, I’ll never go back. I may try other brands in the future, but I’ll keep these ones on until I absolutely have to replace them. Actually, I kind of doubt I’ll ever use a different type of strings for this guitar. It’s the sound I’ve been wanting for years.
I’m using them on a Martin 00-15M (a smaller-bodied solid mahogany guitar), and they completely shifted the tonal balance from having a little too much upper-midrange buildup into being a very open and warm balance of clear fundamentals and rich, airy harmonics. I previously considered this Martin to be mostly a bluesy, finger-picking guitar, but now that I have these strings, I love the sound of full chords strummed with a pick. They shimmer fully and clearly and in a way I never thought this guitar could sound.
I went from light-gauge D’Addario strings (EJ16) to these “Medium Lite” DRs (RCA-11), and they fit into my current nut slots perfectly. They do feel pleasantly easier to fret, but not dramatically different like I kind of expected from other reviews. The unwound B and E strings felt a little odd and sticky at first, as if they were coated with something, but now they’re starting to have a more familiar slickness.
Although I’m obviously very impressed by many aspects of these strings, one of the most impressive qualities to me is how consistent each string’s tonal spectrum and decay is, from the low E up to the high E. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a smooth transition between strings before.
Anyway, these strings are just incredible. I feel like I just bought a new, high-quality guitar for eight dollars.
PS – If you install each string correctly by pulling it through the peg, wrapping it around to the other side and then under itself, looping it back over itself, and then making a tight fold where it wrapped back, you can trim the extra length afterward without any problems. In case that’s confusing, I included a picture of what I’m talking about.

I have a 1970 jumbo and they are the best
Bob Maulucci –
These strings provide outstanding cadence, are affordable, and last.

I had my Washburn guitar set up for DR tite-fit strings when it was new 15 years ago but when DR became unavailable in UK had to get what I could find. This is the first time in 10 years it has sounded and felt right again.
They are so different from the D’Addario’s (also 11’s) I was using that I has to bring the neck forward with the truss rod – there wasn’t enough tension to pull it strait when they were up to pitch. They are ridiculously easy to play, and the tone is excellent – rich, flexible, balanced.
Hrivnak –
For those who crave a comfortable, round core feel and a tone that isn’t too harsh, DR Strings hit the spot. They offer smooth playability and a medium brightness that sits well in the mix, perfect for those seeking balance and comfort. While not the brightest out there, their warmth and responsiveness make them a solid choice for many players.I like these a lot. Sunbeams are a great value. I would highly recommend them if you want to try the round core experience. Otherwise, something like D’Addario XL16s are fine. The 11’s are very light feeling, especially since they are round core strings. I tend to use the 12’s more.
Gail D. Reineke –
Was excited to try something new. Guess it’s back to D’Addario…
Frank –
Znakomite brzmienie takie trochę łagodniejsze od strun DR Veritas.
That541Guy –
I’ve had these strings on my git. for the past 3 weeks, and they still sound lovely, deep lows, clear mids, and bright highs without being tinny. They stay in tune exceptionally well. Over the years I’ve spent a fortune trying different strings, and only recently stumbled across DR strings in a guitar forum, where the blogger said he had switched to these strings in preference to Elixir Nano P.B. strings, and decided to give them a try. Very pleased I did!
Grandpa Dave –
My favorite phospher-Bronze acoustic strings. Nice feel, but overly bright. I also use DR’s Blue pure nickel round wounds on my electrics. Very happy with these strings.
Deb H. –
I have a reverse total shoulder implant in my right shoulder and can’t get my arm around bigger guitars without pain so I got a Martin 000-jr. I bought the Shawn Mendes version because I wanted the all wood construction with ebony fretboard. Got some DR Sunbeams after reading about how they were easier on the fingers (arthritis). Oh my gosh, these strings bring the 000-jr up to another level! The guitar has more projection and beautiful treble and rich bass! All of that out of a small guitar. It’s hard to believe it’s the same guitar! I can’t say enough good things about these strings. I’m totally sold. Been reading the comments about how to install the strings and learned something new. But I’ve been using these strings for a couple of years and never had a problem. Guess I was installing them correctly. They are easy on my fingers too. But the main thing is my guitar just sounds so good.
