This thing works! I had water coming up from the bathroom sink into the tub- meaning major clog. I tried everything. I plunged for hours, tried baking soda + vinegar, Drano. I went and bought a drain auger from Home Depot that was total garbage!
So my last attempt at fixed it myself (before calling a plumber) was this auger that just seemed better than the crappy Huskey one I purchased earlier in the day. This one has several wire vortexes at the end of it that just seemed like it was better quality and a more thoughtful product. I navigated it pretty far down the tub drain and before I knew it…voila! Water immediately receded. And as I cranked the auger back up it brought back a huge clump of hair and gunk. It’s heavy duty, a well thought out product, doesn’t take up a lot of space, doesn’t require electricity and IT WORKS!! Everyone should have one of these in their home!

Simple and basic tool to clean out the clogged pipes. It can be pushed in all it’s length. Only don’t let the end go in. You will have to pull-push the cable numerous times to flush out the fat gunk clogged in the pipe. Longer time the better. It is a mini workout I must say. My kitchen sink pipe is finally clean and water is flowing with no clogging anymore. The gloves are nice too and was helpful with handling the dirty gunk stuck on the cable. Satisfied with the auger 👍.

We had a pretty big clog in our tub and after a dose of Drano we bought this to see if it would help. This product for the most part was great and did what it was supposed to do. We used it three times in 24 hours and it was on the third time it broke. After that, the clog pushed through after one more dose of Drano. So while it broke, we attribute a lot of our success to it, saving us a call to the plumber.

Did not work. Read other reviews so i was able to not break it. But even with reaching to where the clog ended up being. It did not grab anything. I took the drain apart and it was a hair/gunk clog, Exactly what i thought this was designed for removing.

Worked to clear my drain from a goop-tackular blob of hair with little effort on my part. I needed to remove the p trap, which is not difficult. The issue was in the wall, not the p trap. I was under the mistaken impression that the turning motion of this would also move the end of the auger closer or farther from me. The twisting motion is to get a hold of the hair clog, not move the line in any direction. To pull the clog out after turning it a bit, you just gently pull it towards you, the blob will come with the it and you can easily remove it. Repeat if necessary. Have a bucket on hand to catch the blob. The auger will go back into the casing to store for your next blob adventure, but you do want to wipe it off first. SO EASY!!!

Had a plastic spoon 🥄 flush down the toilet…. don’t ask. Toilet would not work at all. Took about 20ft of this thing but it broke the spoon deep down where ever it was and my toilet is working perfect if not better now. Very easy to use.

It either broke during immediate use, or was broken when I received it. I tried to snake it down my tub as I think I have a block but it ended up coiling on itself and then got super tangled up into the point where I almost had to call a plumber to remove the snake rather than the blockage! I ultimately pulled it out (after some serious yanking), but I basically called it a day and gave up on it.
Probably will work for some, but just didn’t for me, and again, not sure if it was broken or what not when I received it, or it was weak and it broke on user-error. RETURNED.

It was tricky with the old plumbing setup to actually get down into the pipes, due to a metal plate blocking conventional access… but the instructions manual even accounted for this and advised how best to use the tool if that were the case. Long story short, I found my way into the pipes for the shower drain in another way, and once I did it was smooth-sailing from there.
Followed the instruction and used the tool exactly as instructed, forcing past the blockage and saw the water start swirling. It was a little bit tricky pushing the snake manually, but that’s the nature of the tool. Once it felt like progress was stopped, I knew it was time to start cranking the wheel bit by bit, and as soon as I did was when I could tell blockage was being cleared.
Can’t express enough how satisfying it was to have the water drain instantly when it hasn’t done so in years. I figure calling an actual plumber would be expensive, but I don’t want to even fathom exactly how expensive, given the prices of everything nowdays and how awful our entire economy is. Glad to have spent under 30 bucks here and took care of things myself!

After having a clogged kitchen sink for about a week and finding out our plumber wasn’t going to be able to come by for at least another week, I decided to spend the money and try this solution. I was skeptical that this wouldn’t work, considering the price was pretty low – $32 compared to the price of a plumber seemed too good to be true.
I am SO GLAD I went for it. It came within 24 hours and was so easy to use. We had taken apart the drain under the kitchen sink so we knew the blockage was further down than the U pipe under the counter. It takes a little patience while “feeling” around as you feed the auger into the pipe. It is MUCH easier to use with two people, but you can definitely do it solo. Have a bucket ready underneath the drain because chances are you’re going to pull out something that smells like the epitome of death. The mass of hair and trash inside the pipe that popped out had such a foul odor it gave us goosebumps. This tool is a life saver, and I can’t believe a simpleton like me can purchase and successfully use a product like this.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great DIY solution for a simple problem, and the product is quite substantial in quality.

This Auger was able to clean out a bunch of hair and debris stuck in my drain and now my drain is flowing so well, I can hear the water going down. The only problem I had with this auger is that it feels kinda cheap, and it was a bit hard to remove the hair and clean since it was so tightly wrapped around. It does a great job though and was quick and easy to use

This is a functional product even though while winding it up the first time the plastic housing broke.
It still works fine though
