It does a decent job for pipes with bigger clogs that have gunk for the prongs to hang onto; those prongs hold on for dear life when its got something in those circumstances (it even has a death grip on carpet when it snags haha), but the not so much if the clog has a lot of shorter hairs or hiding is in the corners/creases where the snakes cant grab (one of my sink’s had such an issue). Some of the prongs have already broken off which is kind of a bummer, for the price and quantity it’s not too bad of a deal; maybe it’s a learning curve to figure out when the breaking points are met with each sink or pipe the snake goes into; but on the bright side, it also means that if one snake dies, I got 3 more to cover me!

When I first pulled one of these out of the package I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as its usefulness. It looks and feels like a large, thick zip-tie with little spikes on the sides. These spikes are what allow it to grab a hold of things, but also what makes it difficult to work with.
It goes down into the drain fairly easily, slipping past the stopper. The issue comes when trying to pull it out. The little teeth on the sides really want to grab the stopper on the way out. So this made it really kind of difficult to pull out at times and you had to push it back down, kind of rotate it best you could, and try again.
I will say that my sink was draining slowly and this easily pulled out what looked like a drowned rat. So much hair came out. Now my sink drains. This did far better than any chemical drain cleaner would have done and was a lot easier than removing the trap. Overall I am happy with it.
