The metal is sturdy but you can tell the plastic is pretty cheap on the seat. We use it as a riser on my grandma’s toilet and it gets the job done! It’s not super wide so it fits in a tighter space and it comes with the pot or the extender for over the toilet use.

We are so pleased with this product. The design is excellent. It assembled easily and folds easily for storage. The size is perfect for my 170 lb husband. The quality of materials used in it’s construction is very good. It is literally a life saver. My husband is currently unstable on his feet. The last place he should be is in a bathroom with multiple hard surfaces to hit should he lose his balance & fall. Thank you.
