You can always trust a DW pedal to have smooth action and feel just right under foot. This pedal is fast and quite adjustable. Good for the price, you don’t really need all the fancy bells and whistles of the higher end models.
I have 2 gripes with this particular pedal (both very minor). First is the drum key clip. The pedal comes with a key, which is a great plus since it’s required to tighten the clamp, another huge plus is the little clip that is built into the pedal to hold the key so you don’t misplace it or forget it when you go gigging. On this pedal however the clip is made of plastic and it broke the very first time i tried to put the key in place. So i no longer have the convenience of that feature. The second gripe is with the beater. In the photo on Amazon and all of the promotional materials i’ve seen for this pedal it looks like there’s the hard plastic backside, and the compacted felt protrusion on the other. This is what i’ve come to expect from DW pedals i’ve purchased in the past. This one however came with not a felt beater, but a hard plastic or nylon protrusion. Again, not a big deal for me but it’s good to know ahead of time. New to me also, and this is good, is that they’ve added a locking mechanism onto the beater so that it doesn’t twist during performance or practice, very nice touch.
I definitely recommend this pedal.

DW is simply the best pedal manufacturer!! They are smooth, well weighted, have the perfect response and rebound, and just feel solid and right. I love that they include a drum key which attaches right to the pedal. I won’t go back to any other brand after having a DW!!

Ottimo per gli appassionati.
Your Favorite Pun –
I’ve been upgrading the church’s drumset little by little and I failed last year with a 40 dollar used pedal. I was somewhat hesitant because of the 100 dollar price point and not ever have personally used this brand. I’m pleasantly shocked!!! You can tell its quality right out of the box by the thickness of the base. Its sturdy and won’t break anytime soon. There’s also very little wasted motion so everything your foot does translates with ease. I’ve been playing for 20 years now and this is my favorite foot pedal yet!

Awesome replacement kick pedal for a starter kits stock hardware. Functions fantastically and has an easily adjustable range of sensitivity, which it maintains fantastically well. Smooth chain, quick response.
I don’t care for the plastic/vinyl mallet but that’s just taste really. I simply recycled the clothe one from my cheaper pedal.
Amazon Customer –
Very durable and fullyadjustable. I liked the bass rim clamp tensioned with a drum key. Flat metal base to the pedal more stable than the fold-up types.

This is a fantastic pedal. I already have a 9000 on my other kit, but got sick of dragging the pedal from kit to kit. The beater is NOT the dual-surface felt/plastic one as on other DW pedals — instead, it’s black plastic on one side, and red plastic on the other (in a slightly different shape). No big deal for me. Also, the little clip that holds the drum key to the base plate snapped the first time that I tried to pop in the key. I saw this same remark on other reviews, so it came as no surprise (though no less disappointing). No big deal either for me, since I have plenty of other keys around.

Bought on the strength of the reviews and wasn’t disappointed. I had a fairly crap mapex kick before that I’ve had for nearly 10 years so it’s a definite upgrade! Bosh

A nice pedal for a afordable price. Sturdy and fast. Unfortunately I had to returned it because the bass holder that attaches to the bass drum is curve (as the bass drum is rounded) however I wanted it for my e-drum set which is flat and not rounded.

It gets the job done and it is BEEFY enough to last!
