I am in love with this vacuum. Easy to assemble, the power and suction is amazing, and my home has never felt cleaner! All I can say is wow! It is a bit pricey but you really do get what you pay for, which is a quality product.

Es una maravilla de aspiradora, limpia y absorbe hasta la más mÃnima basurita o pelito de mascota.

I really love my Dyson. But two glaring mistakes stick out with this one. First, the battery dies FAST! We thought it was too fast and even had Dyson send us a replacement- nope. Just dies fast is all. You’ll get about 30 minutes on reg power and about 15 on high. Then, it takes like 3 hours to charge.
Second? The design of the wall hanger is weird. Every time we hang up to charge we have to really give it a good push and it’s gotten to the point that tie cord is now permanently bent. Hopefully we dont meed to replace in a year.
Other than that, the suction is SUPERIOR to anything else on the market, which is I guess what we pay for. So, I’m still happy I bought it, but a longer battery life and less charging time would definitely be helpful.

One of the best investments I’ve purchased recently. It’s super light weight, suction is out of this world, the air feels so much cleaner after one use and it’s extremely easy to dump. Also super satisfying to see how much it gathers in a short amount of time. At first I wished the battery life lasted longer, but that was because I had it on turbo the whole time. But I’ve learned when I need to use turbo vs not and I’ll switch h back in forth (which is super easy) and it will last for the full upstairs and the steps and some of downstairs before it needs charged again. I have a 2,500 square foot home. I also have 2 motorized vacuums in my house, but there is nothing like a Dyson! It just does the job so much better, especially on carpet. I also have a golden retriever that sheds a ton, and a cat! So I love all the different attachments to clean everything, but just the floor. Totally worth the money! And the fact that it’s cordless and light weight makes it so easy to clean!

I’ve been buying Dyson vacuum cleaners because I have allergies and pets. I haven’t found another brand that works as well to clean the carpets and furniture.
Once I found out that Dyson added HEPA filters to their cordless vacuums, I immediately bought one. I really like the new design for emptying the dust bin on this one. I never thought about having to pull hair and fur out of the older model, but I certainly think about it every time I don’t have to now! Wow! Everything falls out easily with this model!
This cordless vacuum does a great job getting my LVP and tile floors really clean before I mop them. It also does a great job on my thick carpeting, but I do have to pull out the stand up Dyson periodically to fluff the carpeting and get deep into the cotton fibers because the carpeting tends to lay down when walked on. No complaints though, I knew that would be the price of buying the carpet I bought.
The attachments are still easy-on/easy-off with this model. The furniture/pet attachment works better than earlier models for some reason.

I love almost everything about this vacuum. Suction, light weight, and maneuverability. The attachments work great. But the battery life is very disappointing. I let it charge for day before using and still only got 15-20 minutes of use.

This lil sucker works for all my needs! It stays charged up! It’s lite weight and incredibly maneuverable! Cleans my car, staircase, rugs, floor and hec I just sucked a spider up in this vacuum! So Worth the price!!!
Melita –
The cleaning is great, but after half a year of use, the battery has become barely enough for a single cleaning. At the beginning it could last for two or even three sessions.

Nightmare with Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
I want to share my frustrating experience with Dyson here—maybe someone from their team will see it.
I bought a Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner on Amazon in early July. One month in, it stopped charging, and the dust container jammed. I contacted Dyson support, sent it in for repair, and was told it was fixed within two days. They asked me to pick it up from their service center, which is very far from me. I asked if they could send it back to me, and they said they’d check with the repair center and get back to me within a couple of days—no one ever did.
After two days, I followed up, and they gave me the same response. By the third time, they said it had been sent out four days ago (without notifying me), but I missed the delivery because I was at work. It was returned to the service center. I called Dyson again, explained my situation, and they sent it again (so they said), providing a tracking number. After a week, there were still no updates. I contacted the service center, and they told me it wasn’t their responsibility anymore; I needed to contact UPS.
UPS informed me that the package was lost in transit. I reached out to Dyson support again, even speaking to a supervisor, who promised it would be resolved within a week—and if not, they’d send me a new machine (another false promise). A week later, Dyson said UPS had found the machine and would return it to the service center, after which they’d send it back to me. Two weeks passed with no updates.
When I followed up, Dyson told me UPS still hadn’t delivered the machine to their service center. After asking for a supervisor again, I was suddenly told I needed to pick it up from the service center in Plainview, NY—where it had apparently been sitting all this time! When I asked them to ship it to me, they claimed they don’t ship cordless machines anymore, even though they did so just a month ago.
Despite escalating to a supervisor once again, I’m still waiting for my vacuum.

We have been Dyson Cordless Vac users for many years. We currently use the Dyson V7 Animal, but it doesn’t last long enough to vacuum the whole house with one charge, so we got this V8 too. It works great and lasts about 45 minutes with a full charge.
I like how it can vacuum rugs and hard floor areas as well as get into hard to reach places. The pivoting head really helps around curves and getting behind the toilet. We are very pleased with the V8.
