ELECTCOM PRO All-Region DVD Player with HDMI

Very small, compact, with all the attachments included, including a remote at a great price and worked perfectly with my first DVD. Time will tell for how long, but for know it is working great.

I bought this player based on good value for the money. However, the first player had problems right out of the box. The disc tray would continually eject and load. I followed the troubleshooting guide and it fixed the problem for the short term. However, that stopped working and I contacted customer service. After having me perform a few checks that did not solve the problem, they sent me a new player. The second player works just fine. It has good picture quality and the sound is also of good quality.
My experience with the customer service representative (Helen) was great. She was professional, courteous, and responsive in a timely manner. My experience would indicate that this company cares about its customers.

I am chronically ill and easily confused by mental tasks and wanted a DVD player that was supposed to be simple to use. This was about as simple as it comes. Literally plug and play. The buttons on the front of the device are basic, just what I wanted. The remote, however, is pretty complicated. I looked forever to find the basic buttons I needed on it. Picture quality is just fine for the price but the sound… Initially there was no sound. I tried all the obvious solutions (is it muted? Will another dvd work? Try a different hdmi cable. Switch the hdmi port.. Etc.) and nothing worked. I decided to just unhook it and put it back in the box but forgot to stop the playback of the DVD I had in (because I get confused) and when I picked the device up the sound popped on then stopped again. After that the sound continued coming in and out. It only worked in short bursts of a few words then went silent for minutes. I got hopeful and continued trying to get the sound to just come on fully but no luck. I was too worn out cognitively to call customer service after about 30 minutes of this and just left it hooked up and powered off. When I’m up to tackling this issue again I’m calling customer service and will see if they can help me with this. If we’re able to get the sound working I’ll change the rating. In case it ends up mattering, my TV is a Samsung.

Très contente et facile d’utilisation

This is a very nice, well-crafted, and very efficient product. It was easy to set up, and plays beautifully. The color is excellent, and the sound is good, too. I have a slight hearing loss which causes the audio from videos and DVDs to be a bit muffled. This unit brightens up the sound considerably and makes the audio more crisp, clean, and much easier to understand. All the controls I’ve used so far work smoothly—including the “Repeat” button, which caused me some amusement when a video starting playing over again. I’m having a little difficulty negotiating a truce with my Amazon Fire box, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. (I might have to actually break down and read the instruction!!!) All told, this is a VERY welcome addition to my media infrastructure. Thank you so much!
